I was in tears watching you react to the intro because 99% of us all reacted the exact same way the first time we heard this song. Hearing the transition from guitar to vocals was just a huge flex by Chris, and made us all question our own ears haha. What a great experience.
Kirk Hammett has said Metallica listened to this song so much back in the day that the riff inspired Enter Sandman. KILLER SG CLASSIC!
Matt Cameron's drums on this are just outstanding. The accents on the offbeats, but within the 4/4 count. Gonna have use the dreaded underrated label lol. Hard to believe this came out in the 80's ('89). Ahead of it's time IMO
Soundgarden at their best. That main riff is so infectious and distinctly Soundgarden.
IMO, a great Led Zep sound, that brought Soundgarden into heavy rock territory. RIP Chris, one of the great rock vocalists. Thanks for the upload and great review as always.

I don’t hear Zep in this, I only hear Soundgarden. I’ve never personally understood the comparison with LZ, but people do make that comparison.

I’ve always thought Kim’s riff on this tune was reminiscent of Zeppelin’s Kashmir.
'Louder Than Love' was the last Soundgarden album with original bassist Hiro Yamamoto. Soundgarden with Ben Shepherd on bass was amazing and SG with Hiro Yamamoto on bass was amazing, each in their own way. But for me personally, the Yamamoto years have a special place in my heart. I'm glad you got to react to my request for an even older Soundgarden song "Mood for Trouble" (because Yamamoto's bass playing really shines on the second half) before reacting to this one because it's a great way to see how much the band evolved between 'Ultramega OK' and 'Louder Than Love'. Also, what's awesome about 'Louder Than Love' is that it has the dna of 'Ultramega OK' but also the dna of the follow up album Badmotorfinger. I grew up with Soundgarden and I've enjoyed your journey of the band's discography. One of my favorite Soundgarden songs from the Ben Shepherd era is "Head Down" from their album 'Superunknown' and it's also a song that Shepherd wrote. My fellow Soundgarden fans..
Ive been eagerly waiting for this reaction and boy am i happy. Thank you for taking the time to react to the song and im really glad you enjoyed it too. Always appreciate your breakdowns of soundgraden songs!
This song is an absolute banger.
I watch many of your other reaction videos, but I live for your Soundgarden ones.
Yup, another deep, sludgy and dirty Soundgarden groove. Love that a lot. Just love it when rock and metal bands go with some real major groove on their songs. Gets ya movin’ and really groovin’.
Forgot how much I liked this song, it's been awhile since I had last heard this. Great Chris vocals, enjoyed this reaction from you. Was a great listen and agreed with your score and your interpretation.
"Loud Love" is the catchphrase between us Soundgarden fans. Chris's voice replacing the guitar at the intro really stunned me my first listen in 89.
What you call dirty we call grunge. Loud Love is the first time I heard of Soundgarden. This song is off of their first major label album Louder Than Love. Truly this was the first band out of Seattle to bring the grunge sound to a national platform like MTV back in the late 80's. Need to react to Hands All Over.
Nice job.. I can kinda hear their influence on Mother Love Bone. In particular, this song’s guitar riff and tone remind me a bit of “Stardog Champion.” Cornell and Andy Wood were roommates during this period and those bands were pretty close. 🤙🏻
That sneaky vocal during the intro is awesome.
One of my favorites from Soundgarden here 🤘🏽
I love Soundgarden, and I know how loud they can be, but I hadn't heard this song before.
Originally, this was my favorite song on this album. But over time, Hands All Over became my all-time favorite Soundgarden track. This song hooked me to them, though. Once I heard it, I was convinced to buy their entire discography.

Eric, I was gonna say exactly the same thing. I love "hands all over." When I first heard "loud love," it seemed like it was coming from another place. Who in the world is this band? It was soooo loud and it rawked so hard. \m/

The lyrics in hands all over combined with the message behind the song also adds a ton to it's likability for me.

Loud Love is such a great album
My favorite part is to see anyone hear this for the first time. Soundgarden was kind of a big deal.
Lol David I'm telling you that Power Trip intro is something else. You can put that in your queue number 500 in line lol..I can't wait for that reaction
man i used to be so obssesed with soundgarden like my entire highschool days were just spent covering down on the upside ,badmotorfinger, superunknown on the guitar like man chris is just insane , i remember this was my first song i heard along with hands all over and birth ritual i kinda grew from here onto other songs
Power Trip from this album is a song that has Chris vocally mimicking the guitar intro like you thought he was doing here. Incredible to hear how he mimics the bending of the strings in that one.
glad you enjoyed it ! real as always
My first Soundgarden song🎉
Great score!! This is my favorite era of Soundgarden🤘
Another great reaction!! Just a question...who are some of your favorite vocalists? Maybe you could do a reaction on them. Love what you're doing...keep it going.
New fan. Just starting to get into your channel but definitely diggin it bro 👌
This is one of those songs that has wonderful tricks and movement. I like that you can hear all of the instruments playing.
Great job
You should really check out Heilung, I can't guarantee you'll like them because it's such a niche aesthetic but I can promise you won't regret the experience. Krigsgalder - kzread.info/dash/bejne/g4abwZqHfrO6dJs.html or In Maidjan - kzread.info/dash/bejne/naGLtrxse8nUiKg.html Both of these songs are fantastic jumping off points for first time viewer and greatly benefit from the Live performance.
You should react to holy water by Soundgarden
I love the intro, this is one of my favourite Soungarden songs, along with Slaves and Bulldozers, Black Hole Sun and Hands All Over.
G.R.U.N.G.E
That ending had me too
Early soundgarden is best soundgarden
Herump ! Dave I believe you should be the first to check out Chris Cornell's song Sweet revenge... It's Chris meets Justin Timberlake meets Michael Jackson. A complete reinvention of sound that nobody takes note of .. RESPECT 😎
That's one of the few songs on =Love Than Love= that whose complexity measures up to the next album, =Badmotorfinger=.

Duh, =LOUDER Than Love=. Sheesh.
Go for some audioslave and solos stuff of Chris. Try wide awake ( album or accoustic version) or bend on the road for example

The HOF is a joke, since they have rap “artists” in there.
