+frank tbh, im not so sure it has so much to do with him being Indian or anything. It might have more to do with the fact that Kim doesnt dance or walk around much and doesnt give much of a 'show' visually. So the cameramen probably doesnt find very many interesting shots to take of him while playing. Ive seen other shows with Kim in other cities and they just dont show him that often. He is a great guitarist though of course.

@@mattmarkus4868 You cannot absolve the band of responsibility for how they were perceived during that time. Have you seen the video to "Outshined"? Pure chest-thumping masculinity. You could sing "I'm a Little Teapot" over that music and with those visuals and it wouldn't matter. That music was made by young guys full of testosterone for young guys full of testosterone. Call it "cock rock" or whatever you like, but that music wasn't meant to appeal to Lisa Loeb fans (to stick with an example from the era). Very few listened to that kind of music with the intention of delving into the deeper meaning of the lyrics. Cornell himself said his lyrics were at times just a bunch of meaningless nonsense.

Nirvana was and will always be my favorite band. Sorry to hear you somehow didn't care for them. Kurt was a genius imo and a true artist. Mh favorite writer along with Lennon snd Elliot Smith. Chris had the best vocals easily though and I was a huge soundgarden nut and always will be. And his voice aged like fine wine. Two things absolutely crushed me in different ways. Kurts passing on my teens growing up, and then Chris' passing not long ago. Hit me like a ton of bricks. In a different way too because it felt like Chris made it out and he'd grow old with us. And it felt like you could overcome your demons and depression seeing him make it. And then boom. He's gone too. Really fucking hurt Either way there was nothing like the 90s and imo it's the last great decade rock. Music in general honestly. Tbe amount of talent that came out of Washington alone was ridiculous. Let alone the amount of talent of that generation as a whole. Never again will we see it.
