That's cause they trying to stick to their roots instead of over popularising EV's which honestly is a pursuit that will disappoint many... because like every manufacturer believes that the grass is greener on the other side with EV's well🤧let's just say it's not as green as they all claim it to be and over time by the 2030/35 deadline most will have a rude awakening like the CEO of Toyota discribed who also quit his CEO position😂 after realising that Electric will definitely be staying but it won't replace ICE and time everyone is trying to make going electric their bread and butter and ignoring and also keeping quiet about the negatives of going full electric...whilst Porsche is out here on the "Hold my beer" verge of saving Internal combustion cars by developing their own fuel whilst still trying to make real thoroughbred enthusiasts happy as well as vegan planet savers happy too😇 talk about multitasking.

Whats really scary is that engine sounds like its got another 3,000 RPM in it! The thought of a modern GT3 engine at 4.0L reving to 12,000rpm is just otherworldly!

lol it's because it's just a constant one-tone noise without any drama or sensation when RPM's are rising. Now the truly great sound would be when you think it's already a time to shift, but engine still have 3000 RPM more of audial experience.

It may actually be capable of 12,000 rpm for short amounts of time. Obviously it's limited in order to prolog the life of the engine. But yeah I hear it too.

THIS is the reason that no matter how much EV's get forced onto us, they will never invoke the passion or soul of a race bred internal combustion engine at 9K rpm. I'm keeping my GT3 forever.

Bro. This is what you get when you have a massive budget and awesome cars. Porsche on the way to the top, making god tier car content. I am so glad they stopped doing what they were in the past and have gone down this path with youtube. Excellent.

2025 the 911 are going back to the 60s with air cooled engines again.

I have fond memories of the classic NFS Porsche game, where it effectively portrayed the brand's history. As a result, I've developed a positive view of Porsche over the years. Also, it seems like they usually have a good understanding of their craft and a respect for their user base. Whether under the ownership of Volkswagen or any other entity, Porsche consistently demonstrates a commitment to pursuing their ideas with enthusiasm.

From my understanding too, similar to the creation of the LFA, Porsche brought in actual sound engineers because they understand that the audio component is equally as important as the feeling of their cars. I love that attention to detail. Should specify I mean their consumer cars too :D

I was visiting Weissach (Porsche Test Track near Stuttgart is located there) for Work last year. And i was Standing all the way in The city center of Weissach in front of the shops and I heard them just ripping it with a racecar up there. Now i wonder if I might have heard this. I Remember standing there in awe over the Sound. Porsche ist just the holy grail.

After the news of Maserati going fully electric, this is exactly what we needed

People may not think of Porsche as highly as Ferrari, Lamborghini, or McLaren, but Porsche is my favorite by far. The sleek elegance and natural curves of their cars really evokes some feeling in me. I only dream to own one some day.

Best sounding race car of this decade

I remember testing the 991.2 RSR GTE in 2018 at Monza. It was like pure, unbridled evil. After several years of auditory boredom at the 24 Hours of LeMans, the devil entered the scene. It was something out of this world. I've always been a big fan of the Vette's sound on the Straight des Hunaudières, but when the 991 passed, all hell broke loose. It was like a 787B again.

Mechanically and technically, there is nothing stopping them from making engines spin to 10k, 11k, 12k, etc. EXCEPT... you must keep in mind that fuel octane will be race only, cost of materials (titanium rods ain't cheap), and frequent service.

Definitely possible on regular petrol. sportsbikes rev up to 16k+ rpm on pump gas. Its just a factor of engine design. ie. oversquare vs undersquare contributing to piston speed at given rpms. And where you want the torque/horsepower to be made in the rev range.

​@@Fuzzerino Sports bike engines are tiny in comparison, the beefier rods and pistons will have way more mass, inertia and momentum in a bigger engine.

This year I went for the very first time to a Formula 1 weekend. It was the Spa race of 2023. This was my experience on the first training day. Formula 3 training, the sound was scary loud and I measured around 103dB on my watch sitting way in the back on the Eau Rouge grandstand. Formula 2 training, was not very loud. Formula 1 training, was not very loud. Porsche Cup training, ALL HELL broke loose. I measured 108dB on my watch. 😱😱😱

Don't think I'll ever be able to afford a Porsche but this brings tears to my eyes. Mainly because Porsche build incredible machines, and also that I won't be able to afford them.

I got to stand next to this thing at and poke my nose all around it at Rennsport 7 in Laguna Seca in September. What a machine. The more you look, the more you see. And yeah, the sound when it goes ripping by is incredible.

I love how Porsche and other big manufacturers are investing in simracing, a common person can finally experience the engineering marvels.

My introduction to Porsche came in 1965 when my 5th grade buddy’s father bought a new 911. White over red. We lived in Wiesbaden at the time. By 1974 I bought my first. And since then, have always had a Porsche. It stirs the soul, and I can’t imagine 9400 rpm!! My fastest today only goes 182 mph with a 7400 rpm redline. It’s truly built for the autobahn.
