its still only the homoglations model for the group b that failed, porsche set 1983 on the wrong horse. in group b you need 1.8l turbo engines like the Peugeot 206 T16, Ford RS200 or Lancia Delta S4 and the same short wheelbase.

Porsche rarely do wrong with their cars. I love my 911, the car's all round ability is truly amazing! Best car I've owned, and not crazy flash like your other super cars.

I love the brand. I’ve dreamed of owning a Porsche since I was a young boy. I bought my 2017 911 4S in March of 2016 when it was first released in the US. I even bought my wife a Macan S a couple of years ago.

This just looks like heaven to me. I hope that I will be able to attend the next one with my very own Porsche. Whatever or whenever that may be.

@@MonicaHolly143 well that was actually around $1m with wet paint added on, but when I said appearance kit I simply mean the cost of the car, paint color, caliper color, etc is would be around that because of the upcharge and how much it was back then.

On Sept 19, 1973 I was at the Edmonton Motor Speedway to watch Mark Donahue beat a bunch of world class drivers at the Can-Am race. Mark finished first, qualified first, and set fastest lap, a new track record. He beat the likes of George Follmer, Jackie Oliver, Jody Scheckter, David Hobbs all in a field of Porsche 917's and McLaren M8's, and the one UOP Shadow of Jodie Scheckter. It was a time of unbelievable skill and daring from these great drivers. Remember, back then there was NO emphasis on safety, just going ever faster. The cars looked unbelivably spindly and unsubstantial. You definitely would not want to be in a shunt in one. That car scared me when it fired up, loud, with the most amazing howl from it's flat 12 turbo engine.

The interview with Mr Donohue was the highlight of this video. A genuine fellow with zero pretension 😎🎩♠️

It's a good thing innit? GMA DNA is everything Porsche but for Rich People. 911 GT3 or 911 S/T or 911 R is like a millionaire version of GMA T50 with half the cylinders & 1/10th price. Last gen of people who actually love driving cars & not lifting them to the 26th floor for decoration.

5:23 actually (yes, I'm that guy) It didn't win every race it entered. The 917/30 finished 7th and 2nd in the first two rounds of the 1973 Can Am championship (both races were won by 917/10). From then on, yes, it won every race that year.

Porsche is the quintessential sporting vehicle. They also have an unbelievable and forward-thinking marketing team.

I own & drive a 911 in Michigan year-round! It needs to be driven.

My personal favorite is the 962C number 17 that won Le Mans in '87

When I was a litte boy, my dad took me to Elkhart Lake, and I saw Mark Donohue run that absolute Kraken of a 917. My ears are still ringing.

In the early 90’s as a young boy I lived on a Royal Air Force base in Berlin. Every second Sunday the Porsche club of Berlin came to the base and raced their Porsches around the airfield and then all drove by our house on the way home at the end of the day. 911’s 930 and 964, 968’s and even a few 993’s when they were brand new. I’ve been hooked ever since.

That thing you didn’t know what it was is a Porsche tractor that was used for use in between coffee plants or working in a vineyard so you don’t damage the crops, they talked about it on The Late Brake Show

What makes Porsche special? I think because they have the ability to make a 13 minute commercial and we watch every single second of it and ask for more

Comical subtitles!!! As a Porscher, what I like the best is to be in control and feel the car, the road, and have to take responsibility. I never let my car drive me. I am the driver, sometimes the pilot. And thus totally in control. Porsche offers cars that make you in control.
