By the way, people who didnt ge the sidechaining: Make a bus with name Sidechain - Make a kick and a Snare and Change their stereo output to the Sidechain bus. Go to your synth and add the compressor and put the sidechaining to your Sidechaining bus. Now your Sidechain will route through your buss and to both the kick and snare ;)

Awesome and helpful tutorial ! I would reeeally appreciate if u make a turorial on making a song like Notaker. He is a genius and his intros, breaks and buildups are soooo ambient and atmospheric but his heavier drops are sooo gritty and huge but soo clean at the same time .
otimo tutorial!
Thanks a lot for share this
I love you!!!!!!!!!!!! really helpful video ever
SOOO good gotta remember the white noise layer and the drones which i like to call OSTINATO

how u always know wat i need, low i was looking for video like this lmao
cool man
Few notes not exhaustive.. --------------------------------------- - Some keys: Strong Drums, Clean Sub Bass, Options for GOOD Leads, Decent FX group - Writes 20 different Lead options, picks best one. - How to make a full bass sound? Get all of the other instruments out of the way (lo-cut). Sub bass between 50 - 100 hz. - Chords need to be moving! This is how you show how big a sound is - when you move it around. If you have a filter that opens and closes, or wobbles, etc. He sidechains to kick and snare to keep it moving as much as possible. - White Noise and Droning sounds bring the chords to the front of the song.
When does this song come out??? I am really eager to hear that!
So fucking sick
Hi Alex, thank you this video. I didn't understand how did you sidechain the chords to the kick and snare at the same time?
Please can you make a tutorial on how to make a jump up drum and bass drop using only default logic plug ins
Can you do a video on essential vsts ex. Compressors, reverbs, and all that? Ones you recommend and cheaper options

Hey Alex! I’m a huge fan of the channel. I was trying to take one of your private lessons but I was taken to a 404 Error page. Are you still doing lessons? If so I’d love to set one up. Thanks!
You should break down a drop by GRANT. his sound is fresh and mind blowing!

He Made A Remix For Seven Lions 'Ocean'.. That Lead Sound In The Drop Is Insane❤️
Could explain your side chain routing? how is the kick routed to the bass and the synths so that the compressor knows when to duck out the instruments?
hey yo alex I got your course (where you make the entire song) a while ago, and I answered this on the survey, but I would like to go further into mixing and mastering, I struggle with it. Especially in a case where, if anything, I have a low budget if there is something free or low-priced that is essential in mixing and mastering (don't worry, I have ott!), just with this and stock plugins on Logic. This would be SO helpful :)

thanks, I think am learning a lot from you.so one thing just do some dancehall music also..
how did that side chain happened through kick and snare when I only saw u triggerd to the kick? are kicks and snares routed to a single aux?
Alex Rome your videos are so helpful. But I always ask myself why don't you guys become superstars because you know a lot about producing ???
Hey Alex am I welcomed to the dopeness?
Alex “Choords” Rome
sorry man I am asking you so much! this is also for the public if they can help me out. In my last song (the Yoe Mase Homeless Splice remix contest), because it's a habit and it sounds good in general, I put 16 voices on my sub bass. But I know I should put sub bass in mono. I am wondering if I should always use only 1, or if it's fine to use multiple voices. Havin' trouble with the bass on this new song, and it's the new splice contest (Jarell Perry), there's only 2 weeks, gotta rush :)
hey logic community. I am currently using a cracked version of logic. I am planning on buying the real version because of several problems with the cracked one. My question is: will I still be able to open the projects I made on the cracked version?
Could you possibly show us how to make those drums
funny i explored your website a bit more a couple days ago and found the survey, now you mention it in the next vid

Is it just me or is that sound so boring because I heard thousand songs with exactly that sound. Definitely a good job in recreating Alex, I just don’t like those drops except they have like a really really really good melody
@OzgunGG

that chord progression and sound design really overused in 2 years.
@AlexRome
5 жыл бұрын
Thats just commercial music bro! Overused sounds is just the game. This music type isnt meant to be artistic and unique, its meant to be marketed to the audience who listens to it and HAS to work in order to be a successful song. Supersaws will remain overused, why? Because they still work. As a producer, you pick a lane. Do you want to Make artsy little niche beats that you enjoy and maybe a small amount of people would enjoy too? Or do you want to make a more mainstream genre using overused sounds that have proven to work that is also capable of pulling thousands of fans and $$$. Me? I want to make a little bit of both, and of course teach how to do it (; end rant
@udogemein

Alex Rome well I personally only make music that I 100% like , I never do anything just to gain attention or listeners or whatever.. I know that I will only get a few hundred , maybe 1/2k listeners like that, however right now I don’t really care.. however like you said , you can do a little bit of both which is probably a good way to gain suscribers in your case. I don’t dislike every track with those huge supersaws in it, I mean you can still be creative even if you use these sounds, I personally just can’t listen to for example san holo right now because it sounds so generic..

The song from NoCopyrightSounds is “Pill” by Heuse, incredible song btw.
It’s probably not very much requested but could you please take a little more time to talk about your automations brudda! like you skimmed over that in two seconds and I can’t even read what you have there on the filter cut off spot for the chord itself when you open A Mode. I automate like a fiend for everything so I wanna see what my main teacher guy likes to use :)
