During that period black people didn’t follow trends they created them, no one danced or dressed like black people, everything was unique, from their hairstyles, fashion dance and music, the entire world waited to see what they were wearing, how they were dancing it was something that was special and something we were proud of, all these now grandmothers and grandfathers were employed and/or in school it was the best of times, goes to show that the children and grandchildren can never be as cool as their grandparents lol 😂

@@kingrama2727 No. Not. White people dancing? No. Not. I grew up with white kids and their idea of a party was drink till they drop and then start breaking things. And each other. It is what it is.
So much classic style and soul👐🏾👐🏾🧡
Dancing all day and night
I time where all music touched everybody because of the new rhythms..would do anything to have lived during those days
Rewind , boost the Soul.... yup.. moving to it then and now..
Nothing but pure Soul and Funk
The clavanet and bass really make this song. Easy for the horns and drums. James and some of his dancers were really good.
Nobody dances as good or as cool as black people. I envy

We First Had The Style And The Moves Back When It Was Fresh, Now...We Need That Same Old School Soul Energy Back Into All Of Us!
So much #talent
This when everyone was healthy and being active. I didn't see one overweight/obese person on that dance floor. Now in 2020, we are all on our laptops/phones playing video games.

Better times fantastic era!.......blessed I was there!
Everybody could tuck in their shirt because they were thin! Man I forgot how much thinner we were back then! Great dancing! 👍🏻😄
During that period black people didn’t follow trends they created them, no one danced or dressed like black people, everything was unique, from their hairstyles, fashion dance and music, the entire world waited to see what they were wearing, how they were dancing it was something that was special and something we were proud of, all these now grandmothers and grandfathers were employed and/or in school it was the best of times, goes to show that the children and grandchildren can never be as cool as their grandparents lol 😂
this is from when my parents were in junior high..and too bad it was Cuba so these awesome music was forbidden by the gov. but HELL I love it even when I am from the 90s. I will NEVER have enough of it
Definetely, good times back there, funky and classy...before people take hip-hop as their main form of expression.

Many DJs tried promoting Black artists from the 50s on up through the 70s. But, none captured the essence of Black pride quite as much as Don Cornelius and his Soul Train "creation"! We got to see our Black beauty showcased, and the energy resonating from our TVs, in our own homes, felt like something we could reach out and touch! Much love to ALL those who made IT happen! ❤️
When we weren't scaid to sweat and dance !!!!!!!!!!!
😊👌👍I do remember watching Soul Train every Saturday evening at 5:00pm on WTTG-5 now Fox5 Washington, DC my hometown
Yes Lord we got class. Thank you my black folks. I'm heading to Africa and make more Africans

Back then as a kid we were outside playing from 11am till the street lights came on. Of course we would go inside the house to get something to eat/drink. And then we would be back outside to play. Plus we weren't eating a whole lot of junk funk either. Kids today are on their tablets, computers &video games all day. Plus they're more exposed to fast food/junk food than we were...
