The girls that come after Yoda, Vader, and Starkiller (Vaders secret apprentice in Star Wars the Force Unleashed video game) are characters that do share the same moveset as others, including finishers. It was done to show that the games story was getting bigger therefore more people are getting involved. However they’re not main characters so they have copied movesets. Also Soulcalibur has my personal favorite story in fighting games so I’d definitely recommend checking the story. Just know that Soulcalibur 5 story is pretty bad compared to the others, and 6 is a reboot that starts back in Soulcalibur 1, but adds some new characters and a new side plot line.

the only complaint I have with 6 is the title, I don't think a reboot/remake of Soulcalibur 1 should be titled Soulcalibur 6 since it doesn't take place after 5

Since you've seen Starkiller (the guy right after Vader's Critical Finish) for the first time in this video. It's only logical to react to Star Wars: The Force Unleashed series! This dude is a fan fave in the old Star Wars canon lore before Disney bought the rights. His voice actor is the same voice actor for Maul in the Clone Wars animated series and he features some insane force abilities never shown before from the movies!

Yes, Starkiller!!!!! Starkiller, or Galen Marek, is the Star Wars character in the beginning. He is from before Disney acquired LucasFilm, and he is awesome! Defiantly should check him out!

The 3rd star wars character is vader’s secret apprentice starkiller a badass in every way beat vader twice and palpatine too he also murdered jedi council member shak tii . He is the most powerful force user in star wars so far and he’s even able to take down entire star destroyers with the force.He actually started the rebel alliance and his family crest is the symbol of the rebel alliance. He unfortunately was killed by palpatine though while protecting the rebels.He had a redemption arc and went out a jedi.I definitely recommend playing the force unleashed games or watching the videos on it. Its one of the last George Lucas projects he did and definitely one of my personal favorites

Damn! Beat Vader and Palpatine 😯

I remember playing this game with my cousins as it was so fun and amazing 😄 also it was surprising to see “Apprentice” in this game as he is a guest Character from “Star Wars: Force Unleashed” series. I highly recommended checking out the cutscenes from the game as he is the OP Jedi/Sith characters before LucaArts was bought by Disney.

The character after Vader is known as "Starkiller" or "The Secret Apprentice", he's from the Star Wars Force Unleashed games. Currently he's a non-canon character but in his games it's shown that his family crest is actually the basis for the Rebel's symbol in Star Wars. There's always a chance he could be brought into canon at some point much like how Boba Fett was brought back from the Sarlacc pit even though that was in Legends material that was made non-canon by Disney after they got the rights to the franchise.

Old Japanese outfits for women were actually fairly loose just often they would bind their chests with linen or something soft. It acts as another layer of armor while giving freedom to move. It’s rare now as Japanese women don’t often get into combat sports or learn weapons. You see it in anime sometimes with elza scarlet of fairy tail or a number of others. At least in one outfit they wear. In sport karate or judo women wear a sports bra with a shirt or something light over it under the standard Uniform it’s actually stated quite clearly in the rules. Try looking into tomo-Chan is a girl anime ass it kinda looks into this issue as the main character is a girl but looks like a guy. She wear shorts under her school uniform skirt but she only looks like a dude because her father pushed tomo into karate and high impact sports while her dad is a karate dojo master who is built like a cement wall. It’s a different kind of world in Japan with women’s roles as they haven’t quite caught up yet. Though women are in the workplace.

Holy cow, I remember this game. It's the only Soul Caliber I ever played, and I'm pretty sure it was because it had Yoda, and Vader in it. That third guy is Galen Marek aka "Starkiller". He's a Legends character that was stolen from his Jedi master, and trained by Darth Vader in secret to hunt down, and assassinate powerful Jedi Masters that escaped Order 66. He eventually becomes a spy for the Rebel Alliance.

I’d think the best summary of the Soul Caliber series lore is either the Death Battle between Knightmare and Guts, or SC 6 is the reboot summarizing the first games like Mortal Kombat 9.

1:02 That is Galen Marek aka Starkiller. The protagonist Star Wars The Force Unleashed dilogy of video games. My favorite Star Wars games by the way. He was voiced by Sam Witwer, the the voice actor who played protagonist in Days Gone. He also voiced Palpatine in Force Unleashed AND Darth Maul in Star Wars cartoon, i forgot it's name. That is how cool he is as an voice actor.

Hey Ken, Hey Bethany. Thank you for an awesome start to the year. I remember playing Soul Calibur 2 as my debut for the game. One thing the game developers love to do is bring special guests to their games. The one with the decapitation that you loved, Ken, is Yoshimitsu from the Tekken series. He's been a part of the game since before SC2. The special characers for Soul Calibur 2 was based off of what system you played the game. Xbox had Spawn from Marvel, Playstation had Heihachi from the Tekken series....and the Gamecube, which I had, Brought Link from the Zelda sweries. Always a lot of fun to see who they bring in to each version

If you noticed multiple characters having the same finisher it's because the first few characters after the Star Wars characters are bonus characters who have the same moves as one of the main characters. But because Astaroth and Rock have such similar moves they gave them basically the same finisher(where they drag them around and throw them then make a symbol on the ground) which makes it seem even more redundant when one of the bonus characters copies Astaroth so 3 characters have the same finisher.

My favourite character (as well as finisher) is Algol. He's known as the Hero King and was the first to use both Soul Edge and Soul Calibur. Though when I played the game back on xbox 360, I was a Kilik (the staff user), Siegfried (blonde male in the crystal armor) and Yungseong (shirtless guy who blows himself up at the end) player. I believe the Star Wars cameos were because of The Force Unleashed which released on xbox and PS3 back then. The Apprentice (third in appearence in the video) is the character you play in that one. As for story, each character does have their own story mode. I believe one of the game modes has a tree which shows what characters interact with each other (I think). For Beth's question about the moves for Ivy (the dominatrix) and Zasalamel (the scythe user), their finishers are tied to their movesets so they're the only characters who fight like they do. Sorry for the long comment, hopefully this answers a few questions you both had.

Soul caliber is a very fun franchise, I have always loved weapon fighting over fist fighting, so it always appealed to me a bit more than Tekken. it also stretches the definition of what constitutes a "fighting gear" to it's absolute limit, which is always fun. Link, Ezio from Assasins creed, Spawn from Marvel, and even Geralt of Riviera all have made appearences as guests.

"Who are you?" Galen Marek, codenamed: Starkiller. The main character of "Star Wars: The Force Unleashed" and its sequel. He's Darth Vader's secret apprentice after Vader killed his jedi father and, within the games' canon, is responsible starting of the Rebel Alliance.

I first played SC4 way back, when i went to this after-school thing at this little church. Being pretty young, I had no idea how to actually play. Had to ask some other kids for some pointers. It wasn't long before I loved it, and I wanted to play it every time I went to that place. Sadly, I didn't get to play it as often as I liked. That's why I got SC6 last year.

This was starkiller first appearance even before "the force unleashed" 2008. One of the best SW characters out there

I thought y’all already reacted to this……..this cannot be deja vu anymore because this is the third time I noticed something LIKE THIS

Magic in Soul Calibur; A lot of what you saw in the finishing moves was just artistic flash. Very few characters have actual supernatural abilities. I’ll forget a few but examples of actual supernatural characters and artefacts are mostly tied to the two holy swords from the story; Soul Edge and Soul Calibur. Cervantes (pirate), Nightmare (fire demon) and Siegfried (big blonde sword guy before Nightmare) are all vessels of the magic swords. There’s also Zasalamel (banishing guy) who is immortal and has a little control over time and Talim (girl that says thank you) who is blessed by wind spirits.

Fun fact, the only reason they put star wars characters in soul cal 4 is to promote Star wars the force unleashed that was gonna be releasing around the same time. And also critical edges have completely different turnouts when performed on yoda since hes so small. Also the only character than cant be thrown with a normal grab trick for the sane reason. There was also a PSP spinoff called broken destiney that introduced a new character named dampierre as well as taking away the star wars characters and adding kratos in their place

I still want to request reacting to Final Fantasy 12, All Mist Attacks and Espers. Each of the 6 characters has 3, and jist as many summons, so it could be split up into 2 videos as well! I think you guys would appreciate how insane some of the skills are, especially when freezing and shattering time is one of the basic ones.

funny that you say the throne finisher was a boss move, that guy was the final boss himself, only unlockable after finishing the game with every other fighter. Soul Calibur was always great for putting out completion bonuses.

Yeah as all the rest of the comments have said the third Star Wars character was Starkiller from The Force Unleashed games, voice by and modeled after the amazing Sam Witwer. Also voiced Darth Maul in all his animated appearances. TFU games was actually what that got me into Star Wars hardcore before I was just a casual viewer. So I would highly recommend y'all to check out the games in some form later down the line.

The soul calibur is one of my favourites games of all time. There is a lot to take in without knowing much, there is a lot of story for each. The very start is actually called "Soul Edge" for Playstation/Arcade. If wanna start the story, it's there. Then you can start on Soul Calibur. ^^ Also, why so many finisher looks the same, cause it was. those was special guest(s) from Anime and such. But they didn't have any unique moveset, so they just copy and past from already existing characters. As much as i love Star Wars, and have it's own fan base even in this game, but it wasn't so popular in Soul Calibur universe, one of the reason is.. It looks corny, All characters is from far past ( Soul Calibur time is set.) And Star Wars is like far future. Laser vs sword, etc. Also, have a nice weekend!

Hi guys I just watched your battlefield 4 video and I wanted to tell you that leveloution is a destruction system in bf4 that when you destroy certain parts of a building or structure they will fall causing the battle to change dramatically

Actually fun fact here, Starkiller started in SC4 BEFORE Force unleashed.

the ones at the start after the Star Wars characters where all bonus characters that just barrow the move list of the main cast so their finishers are just copied over. With the magic though, this is mostly a weapon fighting game. Some characters might have some special effects or what not, but gameplay wise most characters are not shooting fireballs at each other. It's actually weird some of these characters have those abilities in their critical finishes. Like Xianghua 5:05, I don't remeber her being anything more than a really skilled Chinese martial artist. What's it about? It's about a tale of swords and souls eternally retold. Yep that's all you get.

A recommendation if I may. Soulcalibur 1-3 had little snippets of the characters styles through what are known as weapon exhibitions. They vary in length and may require a multi-parter. I recommend you use 3 if you decide to do it, because that was the last entry to do them and has the most up to date roster of the time.

A suggestion for the future for a heartwarming story. "Ogryn Story" and "Gav and Bob" series from Vox in the Void - 40k - but from an ogryn's perspective. The best content that's out there.

Soul Caliber usually has a different story mode for each character. Each game is the next chapter in each of their stories.

Abso-fraking-lutely loved and truly, Truly enjoyed watching your reaction to the Critical Finishers of Soul Calibur 4 As I've said before, Soul Calibur is, without an Abso-fraking-lute doubt in my mind, one of my Most Absolute favorite Video Game series of All Time!!!!! Siegfried, Nightmare, and Ivy are Most Definitely 3 of my Most Definite favorites, no question about it If you get this game for the Xbox 360 you'll get Yoda, for PS3 you get Darth Vader, and you get Starkiller for both

Another Great game. There wer a Few that u missed. But that isn't ur Fault. There is a PSP Version called Soul Calibur broken destiny. That had a new character named Dampier and KRATOS from God of War 2 as a Guest Character. If ur wondering why the 1st characters u saw wer a Bit weird ( even by Soul Calibur standards ) they wer Bonus Characters.

Ken; Ah she's like so sweet. Talim; Thank you. Talim STILL best girl (seriously though how did you guys both do that with her on two separate videos?) And if you're curious on what the game's about (not that I'm any sort of expert at all); Set during 16-17th century the plot basically centers around a mythical sword called Soul Edge that became cursed through a LOT of bloodshed and grants whoever wields it/is ensnared by it, incredible power. It has a twin, the titular Soul Calibur that is a good aligned version and the only thing that can properly destroy it. The characters are warriors, heroes, pirates, mystics, alchemists, monsters, etc from all over the world who either want the blade or seek to destroy it for various reasons. There's a lot more to it but you get the picture.

Holding onto hope you'll do Rival Schools & Project Justice.

Yeah The boss at the end there name was Algol, and thats part of why he's one of my favorites. It's too badass man🔥🔥 But soulcalibur 5 and 6 has all critical edges too! I like 6 better, but they're both worth checking out😉

Other characters have magic weapons or ARE magic weapons in the case of Knightmare. All Soul Caliburs have a story mode, it's been a staple since home version.
