There was some discussion on this watch back in 2019, Ioved it. There were a handful on eBay at the time and I was hoping to wait for the price to come down. They didn't - they disappeared. Thank you for letting us take a closer look at these!

For the Beside I had almost the same journey as you did but ran into a dead end after a dead end that in the end I just gave up. So cool to see this and not gonna lie a bit jealous you have them 😀

I happen to own one, Casio Beside BEM 502D Chronograph with black dial bought way back in 2008 and as of this day, it is still perfectly working just fine.

Yes, it's as beautiful as it's unique and enigmatic.

I've another casio beside which I believe is the most beautiful of this series, bought in 2013 model number bem-501-1av in white dial-brown strap & was able to find your watch at 5 times the price. This series was so cool when there were very few chronograph watches

Thank you for this video. I've been hunting these treasures for a while and you gave a good clue, Vietnam. I've also found out that Casio bypassed their regular channels. Instead they sold them directly to supermarkets, often big chains unique for that country. Some with franchises. They have them laying around dusty in some remote part of the shop where usually no one buys the watches anyway. I've finally been able to track down a few with help of business contacts in East Asia. They have hired people for me, checking everything from markets in Japan to sari-sari shops in Philippines. It's not a cheap operation, but well worth it. Not only are these Casio Beside model immensely beautiful and rare, but they will for sure be worth a lot in the future. Happy hunting everyone! 🙂

I also want to add that I will not buy all of these enigmatic Casio Besides I find, even when I believe they will be pretty valuable in 5-10 years from now. I will settle for one color each and maybe one for my wife and a friend or two. Rest (if any) I will leave for other hunters to find, but I will not reveal where. 😉

ı have casio 1332 mtp-1176 for a long time in my drawer and it is very similar to this. But i can't find in google or anywhere else my watch. How can ı learn its value if i want to sell it?

Maybe its because I could actually afford one, but to me some of these little hidden gems are cooler than much more expensive stuff

They are indeed hidden gem and just like them, they will transform from a very low value stone to a very high value gem. These Casio Besides are not just cooler, soon they will be the "expensive stuff". 🙂

great video. i found a someone who ships to the us for like 130, but im gatekeeping.

Integrated bracelet- ugh. I nearly gave up on imported Oceanus ( a watch worth spending $500 on - well..for the dial) because of it . I finally percerviered. The s/s options aren't as attractive, sadly.

Now the price is $250-300, IF you lucky to find one. Many are sold for $400-500 and prices seem to go up for each month. Finding a new one with box and papers are of course harder and more costly.

So thin for an analog, even quartz. Wish it came with a white dial. I don't like those dials at all. Such a missed opportunity of a watch.

I seriously doubt Casio will bring this out in a white dial haha. Just wish they would. It's a great looking watch! Wonder why it was never launched more widely?

I don't know but I really don't like watches without a date. Especially if they are quarz watches there should be a date

It's not "Cazzio", is it?. It's not OK to mispronounce it. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I've never heard anyone say it that way. If it is indeed pronounced "Cassio", and you are the only one mispronouncing it, please consider making an adjustment.
