Casio Edifice was my first watch ever.. I wore it(almost daily) for 19 years.. 19 years it lasted... Got it as a Christmas gift, never wanted or wore a watch before.. But I got it, so started using it, I was 19 years old at the time. I'm 39 now, it finally gave out last year, when the screws finally stripped themselves and the back plate wouldn't stay on. Only swapped the battery maybe 2 or 3 times in 19 years. It was simple, elegant and a god damn tank. Surprisingly quality watch. Wouldn't hesitate in the slightest to pick up another.

My Edifice is also on a similar path. I've had it for almost 8 years now, and only had to change the battery once. It's on the heavier side, and I use a watch as a utilitarian tool, but it's managed to hold up quite well. The bracelet has gotten quite dinged now, but the watch itself is still spotless, save for one tiny scratch on the glass, which isn't even noticable.

Thx for sharing. I lost a F91-W in my garage when i was a kid and found it 9 years later with Battery intact and it only gained 5 Minutes in all these years. Incredible. I am an enthusiast for vintage japanese watches. I bought an Casio CFX-200 Calculator watch. It is 40 years of age and still working perfectly. Love this brand. Vintage Seiko is the only one that comes close. Sadly newer models both from Seiko and Casio don't live up to their standars but both are still incredible brands. Especially when it comes to their "main-models" because the finishing on them is usually superb

Nonsense, 38mm is not a 'women's watch' (nothing wrong with those either btw). Men's watches used to be even 34mm in diameter. I concur that it is exceptionally comfortable - though I have chucked on a $20 leather strap. My 'complaints': A frame round the date would be nice. Cool watch! It's a kind of combinatoin between the explorer, the explorer II and a tudor heritage. It's an absolute steal for that kind of money.. if only they could brush that polished centre links.. it's a fingerprint-scratch magnet.. Keep up the good work ben!

Theres a truism in our community that "you cant go wrong with a Casio", and that totally applies to this. I have the blue dial one - The bracelet looks cheap with its shiny shiny polished centre links, so I ditched that in favour of a decent leather strap - massive improvement.

I bought the white dial version last year and it's my favorite watch so far. The most outstanding part of it is that you can wear it at any occasion. For weekdays go with a bracelet. For sporty days go with a nato. For formal events go with a leather band. It's an amazing piece. Thank you for covering this watch!

Nice watch but too small for me. I recently bought a Casio Edifice EFV-130D-2AVUEF for under 50 €. It has a beautiful blue dial and a rotating bezel and also 100 m water resistance, a mineral glas and a screw down crown. You can also buy it with a black dial. The diameter is 43,8 mm, but it is wearing smaller.

I have an Edifice EFS-S530 and I love it. I bought it for my thirtieth birthday this year.j was torn between getting a nice quartz watch or an entry level Seiko automatic. I went with the Edifice, it's for solar and a sapphire crystal and as long as no components break it should last longer and be more accurate than a cheap auto. I've worn it every day since. Paid £110 for it

This is a great looking watch for the price. The Edifice range of watches are very good and I have my eyes on one at my local Casio dealer which at present is just over £90 in a sale they are having. I purchased an Edifice watch last year from the same dealer which is solar powered and has sapphire crystal which I managed to buy for less than £70. The reason it was in the sale was because it was the last one in stock at the time so just had to get it at such a bargain price. I purchased a Casio analogue watch a couple of months ago with roman numerals for only £29.99 at Argos and it is also available on Amazon at the same price. It's a really great classic watch and I wear it often. Thanks Ben for showing this watch. I unfortunately won't be getting this one though as I purchased a Pulsar Solar watch only yesterday at £49.99 so my misses wouldn't like me getting another just yet. The watch is similar in design to the one you have just shown except mine has gold plate in the bracelet.

Even on Casio's official webpage (and many other brands) they do not give this information. Can you please tell me the width for the EFV-100D-1AVUEF and for the EFV-110D-1AVUEF ? By the way they are at the same price on Casio's website. Please always give the width strating from now, ok ? ;-) Thank you. Cheers
