If you don't do NG+, you need to unlock about 10 or 20 characters before the DLC characters are unlocked in World of Light (yeah, Sora enters on that list for World of Light), so... you're forced to use Kirby at least until then.

Nothing will ever top Sora’s reveal ever. Not just for smash but for just fighting games in general. This was truly a momentous occasion that will NEVER be replicated ever. As Maximillian Dood said on his stream: we are living in a golden age for video games, and we’re never getting something like this ever again. That’s why we need to enjoy every minute of it.

For me sora and sans were the 2 most hyped reveals ever

Sora’s announcement was literally a dream come true, everything I wanted to happen during the reveal happened: His clothes from KH2, DDD, and KH3 were put in as alternate outfits and ALL OF THE GAMES WERE ANNOUNCED FOR THE SWITCH (albeit the Cloud versions) It was easily one of the best moments in video game history, for me

@@masonmurphy5402 Actually the timeline goes like this. Kingdom Hearts 1.5 Chain of Memories Kingdom Hearts 2.5 I believe those are the three games being put on the cloud.

The detail of the stamina K.O. screen being literally the same as when you defeat a boss in KH was the highlight by far

I reeeaaallly wish people played Stamina. It removes Smash's novel appeal for sure, but it's also legitimately interesting how things change when used alongside altered knockback settings, weight, etc.

Sakurai just turned our dream into a reality.

I knew it was Sora the moment it got dark. The trailer was literally this quote. "The heart may be weak. And sometimes it may even give in. But I've learned that deep down, there's a light that never goes out!"

I realized something. Valor and Wisdom for Donald and Goofy so they DID make it in along with Mickey!

Sakura made the dream come true. He thought in his head if we're going out we're going out with the character everyone wants. And opened the doors for Sora the come in. I was crying in tears of happiness when I saw it happened

No joke, this reveal has to be the happiest I’ve ever seen you & other Smash players and reactors. In all honesty the number of people I’ve seen who were truly mad about Sora I can count on one hand, while a lot of others who don’t have any strong feelings are at least glad those who do are happy & understand and respect Sora being the final reveal.

Bro I had just gotten out of my college class and once everyone left the room I was just sitting in there crying. Yesterday was a legendary day, nomura dropping bombs on us and sakurai being the madman that he is. Double freaking trouble man. This e2 are a dangerous duo. WE DID IT! October 18th and March 2022…

Ive never played Kingdom hearts but this really feels like the "true ending"

A glorious day it was for the Kingdom Hearts community, welcome to smash Sora you deserve it! And thank you from the bottom of every smash players heart Mr. Sakurai Edit: I'm expecting one day one a stream of smash everyone only uses Sora in all variants

I'm actually super happy and stoked that we got sora in smash. it wasn't a capcom rep like i wanted BUT i got my inspiration and introduction to the KH series thanks to DQ8 so i'm fine with this ending! also has anyone noticed that Square enix fans are eating like reaaaaaaally good with this game? Dragon quest got in, Sephiroth got announced, cloud got a rework in his final smash with his advent costume, a temporary new mode for sephiroth as a boss and now Sora (who's disney yes but also square enix). Honestly good on them!

Right? It's totally insane to think Square went from basically tossing us table scraps with Cloud to giving us Hero, Sephiroth, AND Sora! The DLC shot us from one Square rep to FOUR (three and a half, I guess, since Sora is a joint Disney+Square thing).

A day that we dreamed of for a very long time. Thanks for the upload. You helped keep the flame and hope alive all these years!

I'm still shocked that we did it man! We got our boy Sora to be the last fighter for Smash Brothers Ultimate. Can't wait to use The Timeless River and KH 2 Alt.

I think the first indicator that it was sora for me was when mario walked of his stand and it disappeared into the glittery dust particles. Im like i’m a diehard KH fan and that seems very kingdom hearts opening cinematic movie esque lol and i seen glittery dust particles used before lol

Yes! That right there was the indicator. The emblem dissipated into light particles! In Kingdom Hearts the texts in the intros played a huge role! I vaguely recall that in the third installment didn't the text disappear in like manner? It was the imagination statement.

This really wasn't a dream, it happened. It really happened.

Thank you, Sakurai, and thank you, HMK! You played a large part in making this happen for all of us with your Sora4Smash rallying for all of these years!! Our girl Kairi said it best - "You're home."

I joked about how he can only get into smash if you believe in him, but he got in because he won the fighter ballot. He literally got in because so many people believed in him.

I've never been so glad to be wrong before! Sora is in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, now the game is truly COMPLETE!

To the Key-Blade, Mario is a parallel to Mickey Mouse; thus it recognized Mario as the wielder to open the door for Sora's entry!

*Back when Sephiroth was announced* "I DON'T NEED SORA ANYMORE" Sakurai: "Well fuck you here's your Sora anyways".

Still crazy Sora came into smash. Everytime I think about Sora in smash it feels like a dream and I'll wake up

I like how his F Throw is just how I fought in KH1, by jumping and immediately attacking

5:32 is literally the best HMK moment of 2021

This made my entire year. It was already going pretty smoothly and then this pushed it over the edge.

Steve and Sora were the most hype for me imo.

Above all else, Sora being a legal nightmare makes his inclusion even more special. Honestly, a fair sum of us wrote off Sora for a valid reason; Now that we didn’t want him, but you are basically asking Disney to bend the knee and allow something they own to appear in a non-Disney product. And if you know Disney, The Mouse bends the knee to no man. But somehow, Sakurai was one of the very few people to achieve this impossible feat. Even if that knee was barely bent, that was six+ years to bring us to this shining moment. Maybe Square helped to sweeten the deal for the co-ownership, but either way, I’m looking forward to seeing how Sora will shake up the game.

Actually, it was both serendipity and enthusiasm for the idea of Sora in Smash on the part of all those legal parties and companies involved that made this possible. As Sakurai said, everyone involved was excited about this idea.

All my video game friends are finally together in one place. Sora's home ^_^

Basically Disney still didn't... Nowhere in Sora's stage or music is a Disney character or world referenced. So basically Square Enix cooperated using the original Kingdom Hearts characters. Still amazing though. :)

Two major takeaways. 1) MARIO HIMSELF did the Honors, welcoming Sora not only to Snash, but his series to Nintendo (before all Nintendo got were spinoffs and aide stories). 2) If this were by some miracle to become canon to Kingdom Hearts, then it means MARIO COULD POTENTIALLY EARN A KEYBLADE. Never have I not known I needed an image in my head until now. Bonus: you know what would be really cool? If Smash data with Sora DLC could get you a Smash or Nintendo themed keyblade in each game

I remember that your channel was the first one I ever watched on KZread. I was like 11 on my dad's work desktop watching a lore deep dive video about KH 358/2 after I got it for the DS in like 2012.. It is crazy that things have come so far since then. Just insane. I still have this Riku fanart as my KZread avatar out of nostalgia... Even now.

This might be on off-canon fan-theory: 💡 WHAT IF... the universe of Smash has a *connection* to Quadratum? One not made from light nor darkness, but a universe of "fiction"? Though that universe was invaded by the forces of the corrupted light and darkness (Galeem and Dharkon), Sora had been invited, or better yet "summoned", to save all the heroes and villains from those corrupted forces? ...Pretty mind-blowing, huh?😮

Man. I've loved every SSBU DLC. I cried _happy tears_ for Byleth and I cried again _even happier tears_ for Sora.
