I mean isn't it crazy. That we live in a timeline where we can do the sora vs sephiroth fight in smash.

The reveal is genius, it's the final moments of smash and it appears that all characters are losing their hearts, turning inanimate. Then when Sora appeared, he shed the light so the characters regain their hearts. It's also a fitting end since KH is about locking doors of multiple worlds, locking the door of smash, no one knows when will it be opened again.

@@toony1232 but like I said, we already knew we were getting more fighters at the time, so while yeah Byleth was extremely disappointing as the last character in FP1, he still wasn't the last character for Smash Ultimate full stop and like I said, the only other time for Smash we had a last DLC character full stop for a game was Bayonetta who at the time was hype as fuck.

The way they shout "Sora" made me tear up a little bit just like in the game where everybody says Sora's name. It's like we've been waiting for you to come and save us.

Skipping every five seconds to hear everyone screaming and say one word is completely hilarious 😂

I don’t know. With everything with Yozora, Sora may come back in a future game. It’s just the end of the Dark Seeker saga, which is more specifically Xehanort’s story, so Sora can return.

I think on Reddit or a KZread video they said this: “the reveal was perfect. We’re done. The characters can all go back to where they came from. As trophies. But Mario knows there’s still one left. As he goes to the last flame, he’s scared. He knows once he grabs it. It’s over. There’s no more. He knows and grabs and throws the flame to reveal the character. The key blade opens the door for Sora. And the characters all awaken for one last time. To make themselves known to the last character, the ballot winner: Sora. And at the end, it’s not over. Mario and Sora shake hands as everyone cheers, they were all waiting for Sora as the smash logo is on fire. Sakurai’s journey with smash since 1999 is over. (Mario) but someone else will take over (Sora) and it’ll be as great as it was.”

Honestly? I wasn't expecting Sakurai to get the green-light for Sora. I was expecting that, if Kingdom Hearts WAS going to be added to the expanding worlds roster, it would be someone who's had minimal ties to so, so many Disney titles, mainly someone like Lingering Will (Terra), Aqua or even Master Xehanort. Someone who would cause a minimal uproar in the copyright negotiations. But this? This is just goes to show the natural 20s Sakurai had to roll to get this to actually happen at all. Sakurai is a fucking legend, making this possible. And considering that this will be the last time someone gets added to this game, I'm not even mad. Now I just have to remind certain KZreadrs that bitched about 'anime swordsmen in Smash' that Sora (whom they will be preaching) fits that category. Eat shit, you fucking hypocrites.

First of all, that’s a petty mindset to focus on- neither you or I get to decide who is or isn’t deserving in anything Smash Bros. We don’t make that decision. Secondly, when Sans was made into a Mii Fighter, non-Undertale fans were making fake comments about ‘oh no, Sans fans are gonna be so pissed,’ the actual fan base didn’t go throwing riots over this. Insulting the character that gets added means that you’re also insulting the time and effort Sakurai went through to make that character playable in his game. Smash Bros is a celebration for gamers from all across the spectrum to come together. And with almost 90 fighters on the roster, there’s something for everyone. Don’t like the options anyways? Then you clearly need to back off and reconsider why you’re even debating this in the first place.

I couldn't see them ever adding anything of Disney's into Smash, because well, 1) it's not video games and 2) because of how uncooperative Disney is, especially these days. Even though Kingdom Hearts and Sora is mostly Square Enix's baby, I bet it was hell just getting Disney on board because of the Sora's keyblade's Mickey Mouse keychain.

I don't think I have ever seen so many gamers SO happy about the reveal of a character in my life. It makes me excessively emotional.

This direct actually made me shed some tears. I've played since melee and have met some of my closest friends cause of it. The series has spanned actual generations of people and holds a lot of value to so many people. To think that this legend has come to an end. Thank you sakurai

I don't even play smash bros or anything, nor have I played KH, but seeing people's reaction to this final reveal has made me cry a lot, it's so wholesome seeing people this happy about something they've been waiting for for a long time

When they showed the full trailer at the end with sora and Mario shaking hands I shed some tears. To think that this journey, that has spanned several generation at this point, has finally come to an end.

Smash Bros Ultimate truly is one the biggest accomplishments in video games history!

Christmas came early for the Sora fans this day,Don't ever think Smash will ever end,if there are players who loves the series it will live forever.

I love how nobody even expected it to be sora, this is the best trailer ever _simple and clean_

You know the saying "save the best for last?" This right here is a perfect example. I finished the KH3 after playing all the other games a month ago!:)

I aggressively hate Kingdom Hearts, but goddamn if this doesn’t put a smile on my face to see so many people so happy. He was a good choice for the last character.

That infamous theme...how fitting to be the very last reveal and I too have been rooting for Sora for awhile now . That moment was ridiculously hype I had chills!! 😭✊🔥💯

This is the kind of reaction that I like to see. Sora was the most requested character of all time for Smash, and it took so long for Sakurai to convince Disney to allow it. This reaction is DESERVED!

I’ve literally no clue who sora is, but it actually makes me feel good seeing these people so happy. Even tho I genuinely have no clue why they are so happy 😂

I feel like just because this dude called the Doom Slayer 'Halo', multiple dimensional laws have been broken and the fabric of space and time is suddenly collapsing in on itself

This is one of the most emotional reveals. Most voted character, everyone knew he just "fits in" after SS.Flash, but the biggest wall in all of those plans were Disney. The fanbase forcefully pushed him out of their minds due to that realization. *And then this happen......* I still can't believe it.

The absolute perfect character to become the final fighter of smash. When everyone seemed to be losing their heart as the last of the light starts to Diminish a boy with his key and the ability to free people’s hearts GENIUS!!!

The guy at 10:42 has a Sora key chain which I was hoping that he would grab Soras key chain and start swinging it around

Don't you love the stark contrast of the people who explode in joy and maybe cry, as opposed to the 'reactors' who just scream and scream and scream, and then scream, and finish it off with screaming.
