Liebe Padernoir-Hörer,
liebe Tierschützer und Freunde und Helfer der Aktion „Padernoir unterstützt die Harlan-schliessen-Kampagne" der TiPa (Tierrechtsinitiative Paderborn)
Wie wir in Erfahrung gebracht haben, hat die Firma Harlan-Winkelmann bei Paderborn ihre Pforten für immer geschlossen.
Laut der Geschäftsbilanz des Unternehmens geschah dies bereits im Juni 2009 und wurde nach unserem Kenntnisstand bis heute nicht offiziell bekannt gegeben. Die Tatsache, dass diese Information seitens der Firma nicht in die Öffentlichkeit gebracht wurde, spiegelt die Fragwürdigkeit dieses Unternehmens wider. Dort heißt es außerdem:
„Die Stimme der Versuchstiergegner in Deutschland wird immer deutlicher, während die Lobby der Versuchstierbranche in der Öffentlichkeit in der Tendenz eher schwach ist. Politische Diskussionen insbesondere im Bereich der Genforschung könnten in Zukunft zu staatlichen Regulierungen bei der Durchführung von Tierversuchen führen, die sich unter Umständen negativ auf die allgemeine Nachfrage nach Versuchstieren auswirken würden. Die Ergebnisbelastung aus diesen Szenarien könnte die Gesellschaft aufgrund ihrer Kostenstruktur kurzfristig nur schwer kompensieren."[1]
und
„Das europäische Harlan Management Team hat am 15. Dezember 2008 beschlossen, die Hundezucht der Harlan Laboratories GmbH in Alfen im Juni 2009 zu schließen."[2]
(Um die gesamte Geschäftsbilanz zu lesen und auch Einblick in Zahlen und Fakten bzgl. des Profits zu bekommen, den die Firma durch das Ausbeuten von Tieren erzielt hat, folgt dem link aus der Fußnote.)
Harlan hat an die 40 Standorte weltweit und bietet entsprechend vorbereitete Tiere (Nager und Hunde) für Tierversuche an. Die Schließung der Firma in Paderborn wird zwar als Erfolg betrachtet, es darf jedoch nicht vergessen werden, dass das Leiden hinter den Mauern von Harlan weitergeht. Die ehemalige Hundezucht aus Paderborn ist nun in Eystrup (Niedersachsen) untergebracht. Dieses Unternehmen der Harlan Laboratories GmbH bestand allerdings bereits vor der Schließung des Unternehmens in Paderborn, soll dieses aber übernommen haben.
Mit der Hoffnung darauf, dass immer wieder und überall Menschen dagegen kämpfen, dass Tieren unendliches Leid zugefügt wird, bedanken wir uns bei allen Unterstützern.
Wir wissen nicht, ob unsere Aktion zusammen mit der Kampagne der TiPa diese Entwicklung begünstigt hat, aber wir sind überzeugt davon, dass es sich immer lohnt, zu kämpfen.

Words that keep a message transmitting reality. This I avoided buying brands that have been treated in animals. How much helplessness it feels to know what is happening and not being able to avoid so much pain. A percentage of the same happens in farms and slaughterhouses. i dont know what they know about love, but going "public" as you say, sopor was always well known in this style, plus do you think anna is behind a computer chating with fans?! every vegetarian/vegan would do this! and if you have people that hears you and admire you, why dont talk to them about serious concerns!
