thanks, you are the only one who was able to give me the video I needed. Out of the myriad of videos I've watched, you're the only one who gave me the answers (and honestly confidence) after I made the purchase. You really have great skills, I wish your channel to grow! 😁
Thanks for the video, i finally made my mind to buy zve10 rather than iphone 15.
Good video. I'm going to buy one of these cameras soon.
Honestly. Better than I expected from this cheap wide range zoom kit lens. And its small size and weight for using on even the smallest gimbal makes it a no brainer to have as an option in your bag. Thanks for the review.

Good stuff, I actually am planning to purchase this camera soon here and glad I found this video for a review on the kit lens. I am also looking into the 16mm f2.8 lens

Yes sir. I have also considered to get the 16mm f2.8 lens. Yet, in the end I saved up and bought the Viltrox 13mm f1.4 instead. Because the kit lens has covered 16mm, and 13mm is much wider and it produce really great image, and low light performance.
Cool video 👏👏👏

Thank you Koji for sharing! Learning a lot from you from Singapore! Your friendly neighbour! I am currently using Sony Zv1 and still learning. Can you share your opinion on full frame cameras? I am looking into Sony A7C/Sony A7iii used. Is the rolling shutter ok for A7C/A7iii? what should i look out for when buying used cameras/lenses? Thank you so much!
@kojivisuals

Hi Ray! Friend from Singapore! I was exactly like you; Back then I used the ZV1 for 3 years, then moved to ZV-E10; and Now I have bought the A7C. The rolling shutter will not be an issue on A7C, the bending of image is not severe as compared to ZVE10, unless you plan to shoot sports. For Full Frame, the reason I upgrade is because I am going to use it to produce professional video and photo for commercial use. APSC did do well for me tho, but for Photo, the Bokeh of Full frame is really unbeatable especially Portraits ! For Lens Selection, the first thing you need to be aware is whether you need to do video or photo or both. Decide on focal length & aperture first; before considering build quality of lens. For Photo, easy choice is prime lens to get F1.8/F1.4. Consider glass with good coating to protect from sun-flare and Minimum Focus Distance. For Video, prime or zoom lens do work too. Most of the weddings shot, people are using 24-70 F2.8 on a gimbal. Yet some people use prime. Depends heavily on your use case. For me I will go for Tamron 20-40 F2.8 soon, if I have saved up enough 😁 it is for wedding gimbal work.
buying this camera tomorrow, the only concern I really have is the stabilization.

It´s hard to get stable footage with the kit lens. You have to keep it really steady. It´s ok but if you want real steady footage it´s quite difficult.
So in general for vlogging a smartphone or a sensor shift stabilized camera is better. (Fujifilm X-S10 or X-S20 [though more expensive]) In general I switched more and more to smartphones with their new trickery. Even Sony with its Xperia 1V or Pro i has now a Vlogging Kit that can easily rival the ZV-1 and even offers S-Cinetone.

Yes, agree with you. There are much better options than ZVE10 on vlogging..

for well lit environments, smartphones are more than enough for vlogging. however, for lowlight scenes or less lit environments, smartphones tend to have those ugly jitters on video footage due to their digital stabilization, etc.. not to mention the horrible light flares.

I've seen many lowlight videos from iPhones and compared it with a catalyst browse stabilized sony zv-e10 footages - the sony zv-e10 takes the win in quality.
I just got my ZV E-10 and everything is great but the kit lens makes very load noise when zooming in and out. Does this happen for you?
@kojivisuals
10 ай бұрын
Yes, it do happen to me too when i zoom in fast. I should include it as a cons of this lens.
is zv e10 good for photography. Many owners claimed about bad LCD display which make the colors look inaccurate in the display. Can u manage to take good photos without the EVF ?
@kojivisuals
10 ай бұрын
YES, it is true, the LCD display is not reliable especially under harsh sunlight. even increasing the LCD brightness, can give a false overexpose look. We have to adjust the lcd angle to avoid the sunlight. And the colors and brightness can be different when u import to pc/smartphone. Taking good photo without EVF is of course possible, which requires you to understand how the ZV-E10 perform under different situations.
how to enable optical steady shot? Is this a Steady Shot - Standart or Active?
@kojivisuals
11 ай бұрын
Optical steady shot is stabilisation built in on to the lens, Yup it is the steady shot -standard mode; Active mode, is electronic image stabilisation
I have the same camera with the kit lens and can't make quality indoor videos like you. Even when your ISO was at 1000 and 2500, the image was still sharp. My images and videos are always so noisy. Did you do any colour grading after?
@kojivisuals
10 ай бұрын
Hi @wun12, I did not color grade the footage or edit it, only in the last montage I did some color grade. If you notice when I shoot the cake indoor. I still utilise the room ceiling light shining on the cake. Thus, 1,000 ISO and 2,500 ISO looks okay. There must be a bit of light on the subject. In pitch dark room without light, even ISO 200 with F1.4 , there is noise on the image/video especially on area without light. 1st, make sure you shoot in 4K quality (1080p is always more noisy) 2nd, maintain lowest Aperture F3.5, and Minimum shutter speed at 1/50 or 1/60 (to mantain motion blur) 3rd, ensure there is a little bit of light on the subect. (pitch dark area wihout light can be noisy)

how about rolling shutter on 1080p?
@kojivisuals
11 ай бұрын
Rolling shutter on 1080p is not very apparent as compared to 4K, Yet, Once you use 35 mm onwards, you start experiences the rolling shutter if you pan quickly.

Can I use this camera with kit lens to shoot a short movie?
@kojivisuals

Yes sir, you can shoot a movie with Kit Lens; But you need to optimise the settings and overcome the camera & lens weakness(eg. stabilisation) to achieve good image quality
