I think this Camera is Sony´s Sneak Peak... Showing us they can still make great camera´s and they´re listening to us... I actually think they might do this with the a7s iii now... Make a New Body so they can give us what we actally want...

Jason how is the low light and stability? I heard the stability is amazing. The frame doesn't seem too tight either. How long for recording on a single charge?

The best and only vlogging camera. Just perfect! Way more than any vlogger would ever need in this lifetime. And now, back to tilt up/down screen on any present and future “photographer” camera!

Hey Jason, been checking out some vids about the ZV-1. Kai mentioned that the ECM-B1M or whatever it's called doesn't work with the ZV-1, but you say it does. Can you elaborate a bit one that?

Looks pretty okay. Great review as always! 👍 My two cents here tho: 24mm for wide end is a bit narrow for vlogging imo, I wonder if it would’ve been too much compromise to put something like 20-21mm. That would set ZV-1 COMPLETELY apart from other 1” compacts like G5. we Also USB-C would’ve been perfect as most recent smart devices and laptops make use of it.

Michael Park the 24mm equiv is already using a 9mm actual lens. Less than 9mm is super hard to do without fisheye so it’s a physical limitation not a design choice

Hi Jason, how are you doing. I use Sony ZV-1, I just faced an issue while using at 4k 24fps the face/eye autofocus isn't working. Is it only with my camera or is it problem with ZV-1. Earlier, if I remember it correctly it used to work fine. Please advise some solutions.

Also, thanks for the comparison with the rx line. I have the rx mv. So much technical info but not boring.

Jason, can you please tell Sony development team that we need a wider lens? 24mm doesn't cut it, especially with that additional crop on digital stabilization. Please tell them to put a 20mm lens in ZV-1 Mark II

The product showcase autofocus mode really is a game changer compared to other camera , I like the flip camera too !

Hmmm, I literally just got the RX100M5A so has the newest exmor RS processor I paid £699 so the same price this will be/is in the UK!. What do you think I should do return the RX100M5A or keep it? I use the continuous photo shooting mode a resonable amount, does the zv1 also have that? Think my RX100VA has a buffer of like 260frames or something! I do like the idea of the webcam feature!. Over slog 2 how much of a gamer changer do you feel HLG, 1,2,3,4 and slog 3 is over slog 2? Thanks ahh confusing.

yes! i personally like having a dedicated camera for vlogging vs phones. Quality is much better and i dont have to worry about my phone running out of space.

Is this good for taking photos also? I'm confused.. I want to buy it but I'm not sure how good it's photo quality is.. I also want to vlog also... so what do you think? Is this also good for photography beside video?

I went on a trip this weekend and was disappointed when the effective dynamic I got out of shooting a sunset was seemingly less than when my friend pulled out his iPhone 🤦🏻‍♂️ Also, glad to hear that you were able to take a break and start focusing on what you actually want to do~

For everyone complaining about A7siii I think it’s coming next month. It’s no coincidence that Sony have that offer until 28th June. I think this is a teaser of what’s to come in the more pro lineup. I think the A7siii will adopt a similar body style to this camera and include the flip screen too!

I have been waiting for ZV1 since I heard about it. I love it for what it's trying to do but I feel like it misses some key things that are dealbreaker for me. *A lot of people are complaining about lacking wider angle lens but I think it's enough for personal vlogging purpose. *Not having USB-C that can power the camera while filming is very very disappointing because the battery runs out quick and micro USB is not fast enough for delivering power. *Not having a robust EIS is very disappointing since big part of vlogging is about going around and shooting things. *I wish it had headphone jack as well. *I was also really wishing for 60fps option for 4k. *HDR mode would have been really nice in combination with face priority auto exposure. *I also think it's priced too high. I was hoping it would be around $500 realistically speaking.

Philippe Dassonval for video this is better. You get an nd filter and f1.8. If you had rx100 V then no need to upgrade since V is better than VI
