It would have been great if the aperture was set f/2.0, then the short range would have made sense.

I have a sony a6400 what focus setting would you use on 2 people on the screen? I'm getting focus breathing. I'm guessing its getting thrown off by the multiple faces

Hi Jason I have Lightroom on my laptop, but it’s laggy. Like I’d click on one thing and it’ll pause for a moment. It’s just not smooth. Is there a reason for this? Is my laptop 🗑️? I even bought it solely for lightroom or editing pictures in general 😔.

I love my 35-150 for street photography, especially for the 900 euros I paid for it, because some doofus decided to sell it on the most unpopular forum there is :D But I agree, it's a large and heavy lens, compared to something like a 24-70, or especially a bright modern prime like a 35 mm GM.

no one is using Manual mode , only those that shoot specific subject and lighting that does not change like say Astrophotography and if you use Manual lenses , you use Manual mode even if you put it in TV mode and you cant use Aperture mode i think , depends on the camera . Every mode has its use , and one uses manual mode if you know exactly what you want , down to the depth of field . But then you put ISO on AUTO . Because that is the only thing you can change , your Aperture is defined by DOF you want , your Shutter speed by the effect you want to get , slow or fast , so only thing you can change is ISO , and since camera will determine how much light there is it can do ISO , so you set it on AUTO . But that is if you can , sometimes even on lowest setting its too much light then you need shades for your lens . Every scenario needs specific approach , so every mode has its use . I would say for beginners to set it on Green , let the camera think about settings you think about light , composition , and story .

Started taking pictures of interesting people in the overcrowded instagram spots. That’s how I met my wife. She was with her school mates at the Eiffel Tower. I thought she was the most beautiful woman I’d ever seen wearing a yellow summer dress and cool shades. After she noticed me snapping away she finally said, “May I see the pictures u took?” The rest is a fairy tale. My soul mate ❤

One more thing, this video doesn’t mention diffraction at all. This is a very important element especially when shooting macro photos. Basically, when you use a smaller hole, such as f/16, the light has to bend more to get through it. Therefore, fancy light physics happen, and it becomes somewhat blurry- hard to describe without example photos. However, shooting wider means the light hardly has to bend, and is thus sharper. I will now try to explain what diffraction looks like the best i can: Have you ever seen those mosaic filters, that make images into a bunch of triangles? Now, imagine you set the number of triangles really really high, but just enough to still be noticeable. This is kinda what it looks like. This is why all good macro photographers choose to focus stack photos instead of simply setting the f/stop higher. No, it’s not really because of light, many flashes get plenty bright enough to shoot f/10 and above comfortably. Source: I’m a macro photographer.

I don't use my sony gear for video...but...its 2024 and I still use a pair of A7c bodies along with an even older original A7s body for that sometimes darker local...the Sony compact lenses are great but I mostly use the "modified for full frame" Sigma Art DN 19...30...and 60 f2.8 glass.( all three bought used together for less than $200 here in Bangkok). ..along with my venerable FE 70-200/4 ..next I will soon be be buying a used Sony Fe 200-600/ 5.6/6.3 lens... (when a used one becomes available here in Bangkok). Cheers!

Hey guys! Just starting to get into photography going to buy a Canon R8. I want to buy something better than the kit lens. Kind of just came out what's a 50 mm 1.2 under $200. What do you think do you think this is kind of an all-around glass for a beginner?
