I have to say this is the most difficult Sony phones I’ve ever disassembled, there are so many plastic bracket as well as more dedicate designs. And XZ2 Premium add a wireless charging feature, so there is a wireless part inside. How did they combine so much parts into one device, let’s find out.

Steps:
Step1 Power off and take out the SIM card tray
Step2 Remove the screen
Step3 Remove the earpiece
Step4 Remove the battery
Step5 Remove the vibration and microphone flex
Step6 Remove the charging port flex
Step7 Remove the power button flex
Step8 Remove the loudspeaker
Step9 Remove the fingerprint sensor
Step10 Remove the other parts on motherboard

The dedication they do internally is amazing to see. A full metal piece which act as a heat spreader and a battery holder too. Beautiful.

Wow is it only me or is this phone actually extremely well built? I must say my opinion over its weight, thickness and looks has somewhat changed after witnessing how well laid this phone's internals are. Nice job witrigs 👍🏼 now waiting for the durability test.
All this shows me is: A. This phone has been built to great standards B. They knew how to cool down a device a spread heat effectively C. There's a lot of space inside, enough for 2 jacks

They did not remove the jack because of space problems. They did it because they no longer sell so many wire headphones.

U X So? There are other brands that sell wired headphones too. I have SONY headphones which can be wireless but I prefer the wire anyday

@@kapilbusawah7169 The market for headphones is divided into three: Audiophiles Those who listen to music on Spotify Those who have flac files and want to enjoy a good sound without spending too much money. If you're an audiophile, Most likely, you prefer to buy a Walkman, for Wired headphones. If you listen to music by Spotify, you really do not care about the quality of the sound, you only care about the convenience.The vast majority of the wireless market targets this sector. If you listen to flac files (16/44 -24/94) the best Sony wireless headphones are enough. They satisfy the technical requirements for Hi Res files and are convenient. In summary: walkman for audiophiles with wired headphones Xperia for high end wireless headphones and low cost wired headphones. Removing the jack is also a way of forcing investment in new technologies to improve wireless data transmission, because it creates a need for replacement.

@@ES-qy2ju also to decrease the things that could fail in a waterproof phone because as much as we hate to admit it a headphone jack is a magnet for goo and other substances that could damage it and i say that from experience since i had my S8's headphone jack fail on me because it filled up with goo and i didn't notice it so i used it as normal until something got bent when i inserted my headphones rendering the jack useless. It doesn't matter for me which port i use as long as it won't fail on me.
Given the amount of graphite sheet inside... no wonder Sony can give up the heat pipe idea in the recent models..... great job Sony!
No wonder why the phone is so thick! People always complain, but that's what you get with a fully packed smartphone like this!

I upgraded from a Z1 and over the last five years replaced the screen 2x times and the battery 2x times, it required removing a lot of stuff to perform these tasks, the XZ2 P is so much easier it is really impressive, just remove the screen to replace both it and the battery with only one gasket seal - Brilliant - how easy is that going to be
This has been useful for deciding where to place my wireless charging coil in my custom bracket. A bit below the exact center it seems.

I own one XZ2 and it was great mobile phone especially Sounds, Bluetooth connection, WiFi connection and GPS tracking all in great work while comparing to my current Mi 10T Pro cannot compare for its hardware only the shipset, higher screen refresh rates and high quality camera that superior to XZ2, ROM still be unstable

How does the low speaker works? Seems to be totally different from the top one. Does it sound different in stereo horizontal position?

Hello, I notice that the connector input got snapped and stucked inside of the antenna cable at 6:00 mark of the video. even so may I ask, Is the phone still working after that damage and reassemble the whole thing back together? thanks

helo admin..i have a question... my xz2 premium can be charging....but cannot connect to any usb devices... also cannot be turn on (restart or from power off) without connect to power on charger adapter first ... what is my hardware problem... i hope you can help me...

Is it only me, or...It doesn't have any Thermal Sheet Spread or even Heatpipe ?? What Sony use for cooling down ? i'm using XZ2P but...What do they use ?

The battery is so small, Sony can use more battery in their phones because their display are in 4k with hdr this phone need around the more or less 4300

Im typing with the XZ2 Premium right now and the battery is like always reaching one full day. Why are you complaining? It does not need a 4300mA battery

I love Sony devices but internally they are a mess, this included. Too many small pieces and brackets. Ok changing the battery(which is the first thing to wear out) is not that complicated, but for the rest is almost impossible 🙅
Unnecessary cost for those useless pieces of plastic brackets. They could have reduced the weight, size and cost of this beast.

Thariq Mohammed it was already going to be heavy so why not add extra durability? The glass panel at the back is thick and already heavy. Taking out a couple of grams from all the plastic brackets wouldn't help

The weight is not a problem. I am using a Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium right now WITH a Cover and its not heavy (issue). If it would be like a piece of paper, that would be unpleasant. I honestly want these plastic things. That is really top quality. I love this build ❤️
