JerryRigEverything please make teardown video for the xz2 and alaborat the parts then its really helpful especially its bottom speaker as there are many complaints about crackling sound sometimes. As mine also provide such sound approximately every day when i wake up but after restarting in safemode and again in normal mode it again working really fine. Yes, this teardown shows Sony only makes the best.

You are incredible, I have this particular mobile phone and it doesn't always charge (I have to press the cable with a slight inclination which is not his fault because I have tried it with 5 others we have at home) from the port and only with wireless charging, unfortunately they can't fix it for me because as they say they can't find a replacement part for the charging port, I don't know if it can be repaired. And the xz1 that I had the same problem had removed. I live in Greece and I am looking for a new mobile phone.

Can we take a minute to appreciate how Sony didn't put excessive amount of adhesive inside this phone ?

Exactly. Still, use my Sony Xperia Z2 from 2014 and I never had to open it, I didn't even replace the battery and it's still works perfectly.

I had a Samsung D600 for a few days, sold it, and bought me a K750 again and had it until K850i...ans still using sony. For me there are no better phones if u want to use them for longer time :))))

Best design ever so much more improvements than xz1 as JerryRigsEverrything showed t can not bend it doesn't flex at all so robust The antenna fixed the problem improved a lot in the inside than xz1 Solid feel night and heavy on the hand like a true xperia sensor the same as xz1 but so much more improvements cause of 845 chipset

Beware when poking things in to release the glue, there are some cables at the bottom for the screen that are close to the edge and VERY easily torn, don't ask me how I know. :(

Same here except that i screawed up the lcd panel while trying to remove it from the bottom and ruined the whole screen

You can not teardown battery from coverplate 555 when try it battery will damage T_T

Unfortunately my XZ2 was exposed to water this past week. I cannot see the screen, and only the small LED is lit when plugged in. My PC does not recognize it, and I can't run the USB debugging. Does anyone know if files are accessible if I disassemble my phone?

you have to remove the screen, remove the metal plate, unplug battery, put new battery in, screw metal plate, clean off the old adhesive and apply new adhesive, plug screen in, carefully press screen into place. If used liquid adhesive, apply rubber bands and leave to set for 24-48 hours to get a good seal.
