I think WF-1000XM3 are the best truly wireless earbuds on the market right now. I have those and I love its performance.

Microphone on these earplugs are absolutely crap, it picks up a lot of background noise and makes it useless with an iPhone. For what Sony charges these are absolutely not worth the money

Michael Moya i loved the sound, noise cancelling, easy setup. But my most important factor for getting these light weight earphones was to use for calling due to battery life. I have Bose QC35 for music, have Powerbeats 3 for calls but my mic broke so this was a replacement. Anyhow store took it back confirming the mic is rubbish and gave my money back

I bought these and the new Apple AirPods Pro to test them on airplanes. The Sonys were noticeably better both at the sound cancelation and in the sound. Battery life is also awesome. These were a big winner for me. Returned the AirPods Pro... 😎👍

I got them a couple of days ago. They sound great but I miss to have 2 devices connected at the same time, like what you get with BOSE ones, avoiding having to connect manually to one or another, and depending on priorities switching from one device to the other automatically. i.e. with BOSE, while using your computer with a youtube video you receive a phone call, so the earbuds switch to the call in your phone automatically and the youtube video pauses.

I have had them for several months now and I absolutely love them. Design and build are both classy and premium. Sound quality is as good as all the reviews say. The ANC does a nice job of dampening the sound, and the touch functions are great. Sony did a good job on the app too.

I had Anker ones they were Fantastic for music ,BUT speaking was terrible since on the other line- they can hear ALL STREET & everyone who was speaking while walking next to me . How is this Sony Wf-1000Xm3 with that ? Do they let to Hear Just my voice or Wind & everything around as well ? Please recommend 🙏

Picked these up after having the Bose Soundsport wireless for about a year. Walking around nyc, i got comments from multiple people i was on the phone with that the sound quality is notably worse (wind gets picked up super easily). Also less comfortable, kinda buggy, and the bass quality is not as good. I'll be returning them and grabbing another pair of the Bose.

Nice review. Can you answer these 2 questions: 1: Can they be used on an airplane in combination with the onboard multimedia system? (I know the Bose QC can and I love that feature) 2. Can I use them without listening to music to mute the noice in the office. (To mute my colleagues and the radio that is always on. (The apple airpods pro don't really do that)

He didn't mean simultaneously. I guess we'll have to wait for a firmware update or the next gen earbuds to get this feature. The new WH headphones(1000XM4) have it.

FYI battery life of these things improve dramatically (basically double) when you turn DSEE HX off. I don't notice any differences in sound quality when listening to good quality source with AAC codec. Try it!

Athena return it and get a refund, I’ve had mine for less than 16 hours. I’ve already had to spend 3-5 hours googling shit and finding shit on reddit just to find out Sony hasn’t fixed major issues that have been there since day one. I hate videos like this, I click on it hoping it has fixes to problems with it but no it’s just a guy that’s getting paid by Sony to ignore all the bad shit. I’m gonna get the new razer bt earbuds or the sennheiser bt earbuds.

Thanks for all the work you guys put in these reviews, I was just wondering. Why have you guys never reviewed the Jabra Active Elite 65t? Only the standard elite version was reviewed on the website, and even in that review there's specs missing like sound isolation, a feature included when comparing Sony wf or AirPods Pro. I was really curious how the Active Elite 65t holds up against the Powerbeats pro, I mainly use them for workouts and short commutes, and saw great deal around 140 for the Powerbeats pro, is it worth the upgrade?

I like my xm3 but the problem with these (and other NFC true wireless headphones) is blocking outside noise so I can hear is great (I work around airplanes. Doesn't block out everything but the outside noise isn't hurting my ears) but blocking out noise for the microphone is horrible. I don't make calls with them around obvious super loud background noise, but I've made calls in my car (current generation civic) with the windows up, the radio and air conditioning off, driving around 40mph and the other person can't really hear me. It's a shame I have to use my old plantronics voyager headset for the car, then carry the Sony's for everywhere else instead of an all in one

Sound amazing. Unfortunately that was about it for my pair. Suffered from really bad audio drop-outs, ANC was rubbish (amplified the breeze!!), Left ear battery anomalies. Send back to Sony. Refund issued last week. Had already replaced with a set half the price, which don't sound as good but work!.

My unfortunate experience has been buggy connections. I've had two pairs so far and they've both had issues (obviously I've had one pair replaced). The main issue being both earbuds don't sync together and often. One doesn't connect or the other has noise cancellation and the second one doesn't. That said, I much prefer the over-ear Sony headphones which I use often and though the earbuds are small, the charging case is an awkward size. Just a little too big to stash in my pockets and/or most compact bag compartments.

i have them but they have one major flaw I live In Chicago and they are not sweat or waterproof that would make them truly out of this world.

The Sony | Headphones Connect app lets you assign alternative options, such as Google Assistant, to each earbud - There is an updated firmware out that may solve this for you. ( I have the headphones and know what you mean). The headset can be paired with multiple devices, but can only play music from one paired device at a time is what I'm seeing.

You could do much better. If you really need to use them for professional purposes, I'd stay away from Sony and go for a Plantronics or Jabra, I don't know any models from Sony where the mike really shines.

far from cheap, but apparently that's the price for true wireless ANC. really neat tech, but hopefully price will drop in the near future. Got non-ANC true wireless with foam ear tips and they are pretty great. If I want ANC I'll probably go all the way to over-ears to get the most out of them.

Also, correction: you forgot the word "adaptive" when discussing that feature that automatically changes the ambient sound

How are you switching between multiple devices? Once I connect to my phone I can't switch to my laptop with out first disconnecting from my phone? Pretty big limitation for meas I switch devices often. My old Bose soundsport free true wireless earbuds had a button that would toggle between paired devices. Is there such an option on these that I am overlooking?

You can't switch with tap with the WH-1000XM3 either... and since they use similar firmware, chipsets, etc, I would guess that you can't switch without fully disconnecting. This can be very frustrating when you have to open up your laptop to connect to your desktop or phone. And don't get me started on the beeping that occurs when switching ambient control... or that turning of sounds also turns off battery life announcements...

The moment I connected the earbuds to my phone and laptop all I had to do was hit bluetooth and connect. I didn't have to fully disconnect. Was pretty fast too. My jabra 65t kept connecting to my laptop when it was closed. Not sure if that affected my battery life.

I'm up to me eyes with wireless earbud research think I decided on these but seen reviews of people saying the delay on videos is long is this true or has a software update been released

Only on iOS devices (they only work well with airpods and beats pro), on the rest of the devices the Sony work flawlessly.

LOL... here, we have this annoying "bell" which tells you the train announcement is about to start, and no matter how powerful the noise canceling feature is, it will be defeated by "the bell" anyways :)
