I've had my RX100-III for several years and love it. I shoot RAW and convert with DxO with its great noise reduction; I use whatever (high) ISO is needed to get the shot and never worry about noise.

Fortunately, ISO noise is no longer a big issue today, so you can still enjoy the small cameras.

I've had an rx100 III for many years and it's really still great, I almost always have it with me. I edit raw in lightroom and the results are really excellent.

Thanks 🙌 In bad light I would choose S mode and set the shutter speed to 1/100 or 1/150. The camera then does the rest automatically.

This is of course a switch from analog to digital. But once you get to grips with it, it's not that difficult to take photos with.

In deinem Fall würde ich zur Canon G7X Mark II greifen. Das ist die Vlogging Kamera schlechthin. Und auch sonst beim Filmen absolut gut, zwar nur 1080p, aber reicht ja auch. Und Fotos können beide Kameras gut. Einziger Nachteil der Canon ist vielleicht der fehlende Sucher, falls dir das wichtig ist.

I think 15 minutes for a Photowalk. Put my standard preset over all of my images and adjust the exposure a little.

Oh yeah. $200 is a very good price for it. You can still take good photos with it for years to come.

i own a sony a6000 and I want to get myself a compact camera. I love the film simulations on the Fuji but I want one with faster AF. I was just wondering if the RX100 series have settings or presets for film simulations

Unfortunately, the RX100 does not have any settings for film simulations. It has a few color profiles like the Sony A6000, but not like Fuji's.

How do you compare the Sony RX100 Mark 3 versus the Canon G7x? I've been a canon shooter for a long time and am curious about the benefits of the faster focus on the sony. What are your thoughts? I like the touch screen on the canon but is the Sony worth it?

If I compare both, I would stick with the Canon. As you said, it has a touch screen. The Sonyhat for a viewfinder. In terms of picture quality, they are the same. I don't think Sony has a faster autofocus either.

the only downside i see is the lack of blur\bokeh background even in apeerture mode because of the limited lens, aside that the overall image quality is great, very sharp and the color tones are good i think is similar to the other canon g7 i think!!! but with a much better and fast auto focus congrats for this kind of video

Thank you, you are right. Unfortunately, there is not much with bokeh. I think the claim of such cameras is more point and shoot. And for people who don't want to worry too much about photos and just want to take pictures. I prefer the Canon G7X.

The colors are very similar to the new sony a6700 and the fx30 since these two share the same sensor. It's really cool

Why do you prefer the g7x? Also which version of the canon do you prefer? I’ve got the ZV1, don’t feel like it’s fast enough for street photography (controls not the lens). Thinking of picking up a g7x2 for the colours and the zoom range (not to mention the adjustable control ring).

I prefer the Canon G7X Mark II for the touchscreen. I've become too used to touch screens. Unfortunately, the RX100 Mark III doesn't have one. Otherwise there are hardly any differences between the cameras. The ZV1 should actually be good enough for street photography. Maybe I'll get one to test. I don't really care which colors a camera generates out of cam, since I edit every photo anyway. The G7x III is more expensive, but I don't think it's worth more than the II.

Thanks. I shoot in Raw with auto white balance. Standard Picture profile and M Mode. AF-C -> Focus Area wide

Thinking about buying one.. I've been using my sony a7iii for street.. If I try to take candid pics, everyone is staring.. and if I ask politely, many people say no because they think their photo is going to be used/plastered everywhere because a camera that size looks so "professional"

RX100 Mark III or Fujifilm X30? I think RX100 is better overall but i want to know your opinion. One thing which is bad in RX100 Mark III is weak optical zoom - i would love smth about max 8x zoom. But ~4x zoom is good too.

Difficult decision. The Sony has more megapixels, which is an advantage if you want to crop something. It also has a faster autofocus and is smaller and more manageable. The X30 has the film simulations, which of course are only important if you only take photos in JPEG. I would choose the Sony.

What are the other settings in these photos? Metering, focusing, hdr, nd filter etc.

I use spot metering and AF-C with Face Tracking. No HDR, No ND Filter.

@@Ocelot1937 I haven't upgraded. I am testing some cameras just for youtube videos. This camera was one of them. And since I own the Canon G7X Mark II and am happy with it, it wasn't worth keeping the Sony. Since these are almost equivalent and only minimal differences

If money doesn't matter, the Canon G7X Mark III. The Sony RX100 III should be a lot cheaper. From the image quality they are all on the same level. There are only minimal differences.

@@klaudyoofficial2169 Alles gut, nervt nicht. Das Problem sich jetzt zwischen diesen Kameras zu entscheiden ist folgendes: Die Sony RX100 IV, V, und VI und VII haben verschiedene Brennweiten. Keine Ahnung was dir da eher zusagt. Wenn du sagst dir reicht 24-70mm dann bleibt bei der Auswahl G7X III, Sony RX100 IV & V - mein Sieger die G7X III. Wenn du sagst, du möchtest noch flexibler sein dann die RX100 VI oder VII. Die haben 24-200mm. Der Unterschied zwischen der VI und VII ist minimal. Würde ich vom Preis abhängig machen. Falls es wichtig sein sollte, die Canon hat keinen optischen Sucher, also nur das Display. Die Sony haben einen hochfahrbaren Sucher.

@@Sabiroglu_PhotoI would go with the EF 70-200 IS F4 if the budget is tight. It's not a typical street photography lens, you'll get noticed with it. If that doesn't matter, you get very good street photos. But it is also quite good for portraits. On the other hand, for street photos I would always prefer an 85mm.

you film at 50 fps and a shutter speed of 1/100. In your video editing software, set the playback speed to 50 percent. So you have slow motion.
