know that the best television this year with all the tests that were carried out quality games brightness at 1000nits to see the shadows and the reliefs of the mountains on Sony film being the best among all because it is not calibrated is in professional mode and delivers perfect images so imagine caliber after that it seems low to me it's the price and a second of latency speed compared to Samsung s95c and LG g3! Note that the LG G3 television has nothing to do with Samsung and Sony because it sends a blue image it cannot pass certain tests apart from being faster for Gaming now it is missing to know if the Panasonic mj2000 is up to Sony and Samsung to carry out a test correctly

A95L is superior in picture definition and over all clarity of image. It has the highest level of accuracy for me. I saw this last year as well with Sony Oled v LG Oled . If you want a very good TV at a better price point then it is LG, but if you want the best TV for picture quality and accuracy of image and sounds quality then it is Sony Oled. I sell televisions and Sony's acoustic screen capability makes them the best TV's for sound for a TV in it's own right.

wait for the 77A95L to come down 1k $ in price, and then its "Game On". I'll pick it up even over the G4 and S95D, Samsung's processing likely won't be improving much next year and G4 is still gonna be the inferior MLA, which mastered the color white, but every other color is still 2021 LG C1 level.

I just purchased an LG C1 83-inch tv brand new for 2300 bucks delivered. Those new models look great, but I'm in love with that 83 inch. I figured in the 83-inch size, there is only slight improvements such as processing and brightness. But for the price, I could not resist. I upgraded from a 65-inch C1. The 83 inch is brighter due to the EVO panel.

Thanks for doing this -- particularly looking at past weaknesses of the TV. It really isn't about that last 2%, it's about whether we can live with the downsides. Do I still need to hard reboot the Sony every two weeks? Are the LG panels still not uniform? At some point the trivialities take center stage -- what would drive me insane is completely livable to someone else.

But look at that, the A95L kicks ass in gaming picture quality... still need the comparison in SDR games like Tears of the kingdom. I don't think that was game mode though. I think FOMO had it in Professional mode which is a new mode. Yes it looked great but my question is performance. How will FPS, VRR, etc.. hold up outside of a legit game mode? Also remember that the Sony was the only panel there that wasn't calibrated. I have a feeling if it was calibrated the visuals wouldn't look like that and more in line with the other two panels. Another way to look at it is if both the S95C and G3 weren't calibrated and were able to be "unleashed" like the Sony panel here that they would look just as good. Well at least the S95C would look every bit as good. I can't say the same for the G3 because it's using dated WRGB tech.

@@Manuel.Medellin i guess you are not aware of item quality differences based on countries. US versions of Sony are top notch but Indian versions of Sony are inferior in quality. That is the reason still people have some much varried choices. I don't disagree that qd oled is better in colour but i would say s95c is a better option in my region if i will go will qd oled. I am waiting for the development of the technology a bit more. I did not opt for C1 , C2 or any other woleds because i have some issues with the picture quality. G3 to quiet a extent addresses that. For qd it is currently appearing raised black in all tvs in my region under lights only. I will not calibrate the tvs so some colours are too saturated for me. It's my personal preference for now that doesn't mean A95L or S95c is inferior to G3. All these three tv at this moment are top quality and will depend upon the preference of the customer who decides to go with which one. For someone like me if give better offers and warranty like 3years i would definitely go with the qd but for now will wait

The SOC which is also part of processing should be important enough for Sony to manufacture in house. The fact that they lacked a whole bunch of features just because they depended on mediatek already speaks volumes and makes them a not so high end brand with missing features and broken promises on missing features on launch to be added later. Promises which may have realized a little too late. Now with the upgraded processed I expect their processing to be that much better. Also since you are asking about if they should get 2 socs, is the xr processor software or hardware? I googled about it in different ways and nothing came up. No hardware specifications, no physical location, and no mention of software as well. You would think it being called a processor would mean it’s hardware. And in that case you could say Sony always had 2 processors but still have 2 2.1 hdmi ports. And if it’s software… well my previous point could not be stressed enough.

Sony probably can't afford to design their own ARM SoC for TVs. It costs billions with a B. Their TV unit is probably not making much money anymore. Even Samsung and LG are actually licensing IP from other players. Sony can't even afford to make the CPU for the PS5 in-house and that's their cash cow. The XR is a simple VPU co-processor probably prototyped as an FPGA and then turned into an ASIC.

I have a G3 and an A80J, and I'm seeing the same things. The idea that a Sony is releasing a tv without support for all the things written on the box at launch is why I've moved to LG, they are doing it again apparently. Regarding the HDR vs Dolby on the Sony, it's just a continuation of what I've continued to see on A80J since launch. The thing I like about the Sony, is that I can dial in the color accuracy to a level that is legitimately usable for Lightroom, using standard menu settings. With the G3, I'm continuing to turn it up/down sideways on all kinds of settings, and It still looks too red for one thing, too orange for another, turning down the saturation just accentuates the problem in the opposite direction with too muted colors. anyway... The LG actually does what it says it will do... and I'm less frustrated overall.

I just don't take samsung's TV processing seriously out the gate. If you respect the source content, you stick to it, not drastically alter it. Sony, by far, has the best picture quality. LG just seem obsessed about boosting brightness outside of MLA, and I just can't forgive them sticking to OLED despite QD offering far better colour reproduction and volume. Ideally, I'd love to see MLA combined with QD OLED as well as 12 but color to actually make use of HDR formats without the need of tone mapping, least in terms of the color, but brightness definitely needs to be worked on. Though, that seems to be topping out the capabilities of conventional technologies that aren't MicroLED.

The G3 panel looks darker. That to me is more impactful than the microscopic differences between these TVs the dynamic range is greater on the g3 because it has the deepest blacks and the brightest whites. The s95c blacks out constantly in game mode. It’s in 3rd place for sure. I have the s95c and for what I paid I’m happy. But if I was paying retail I would stay away from Samsung. Just plagued with issues that they’re slow to address. I tried to replace my defective TV they told me to buy another one and send the one I already have back. So they want me to give them another $4k and pray that the next one isn’t defective.

@@JodysCorner My tv just constantly blacks out for 2-5 seconds while I’m gaming. It’s random it takes about 10 minutes to start, once it starts it happens like once every 15 seconds. I dialed down my ps5 picture settings, I ran hdmi checks the cord is fine. Nothing helps. I have a tech coming to look at it Friday. Honestly if it’s still an issue I’ll just buy the G3. I’d just hate to send it back because I only paid $2900 and I have it mounted to the wall with Samsungs flush mount. I have no blackouts outside of gaming and the picture is AMAZING. But it’s a Samsung so it’s an unfinished product that they’ll likely never fix. 🤦🏽‍♂️I’ve heard of a panel lottery but a one connect box lottery is crazy. Also, they refuse to replace the OCB I have to return EVERYTHING and reorder the tv, which is now $1500 more than when I ordered it. If I return it I’m switching brands for sure. Samsung is NOT worth the same ticket price as LG or Sony I don’t care what any reviewer says, yes their golden sample has no issues, but in reality you’re gonna get a bent screen, dented back panel, a buggy OCB, you’re gonna have the best possible tv gaming specs but they won’t work and the Samsung america support can barely speak English and they won’t help they’ll just tell you to send it back for a refund. 5* price, 2* experience that should be Samsung’s trademark. The expensive gift that keeps on giving (headaches).
