Sony a5100 and Lumix Gf7 which one you prefer

Has great autofocus, but also it is touch focus -- that disappeared from 6xxx cameras until the a6400 as I recall. I shoot all my KZread stuff in 1080p with a few of these. My avg cost of them was under 250usd 2nd hand. Cheers.

Yes I think it is a good deal. I got both of mine used for about that price a few years ago. 24mp APSc sensor is awesome. Love the flip screen also. I personally am not a fan of 4k video, I have several M43 cameras that can shoot 4k, I just don't. Files are too large, don't have editing SW, those cameras have record limits. Only thing to be aware of with the A5100, is possible over heating during video recording but has never happened to me. I mainly shoot stills with all of my cameras. @@jezur0

I th8nk Xa5 has audio jack for vlogging, while A5100 has a good and healthy lens ecosystem to choose from.

for vlogging I would go for m200 it has 4k, for photo, I might go with a5100 because of tons of lenses available then if youre ready to move up to other sony camera body, you have built an ecosystem of sony lenses.

Do you recommend the quality of this over an iPhone 13 Pro ? Is finding it for 150 usd good deal?

Hmmm... iPhone 13/14 is very different. This will offer cinematic kind of videos, although iPhone does that artificially. The only challenge with this is the microphone, there's no external mic while iPhone does (with dongle). Still with $150 (with kit lens) you cant beat that.

Pretty sure there is no image stabilization with your setup there. Yes, it’s compact and fits in your pocket, but the 20mm lens has no stabilization.

Hi bro, I went to Saneal and they dont sell this anymore. On some online store, a used A5100 will probably be around $400-500 with kit lens. So body only might be even less.

No in-body stabilization. Yeah, it relies on the Sony lens with OSS. I guess I should have added that to the CONS. Although if Im not shaking a lot, stabilization is somehow okay. 😊👍

You didn't talk about the stability. This camera doesn't have inbuilt stabilization. It's too shaking on hands especially for videos

PLEASE HELP! I'm torn between a5100 with 8k shutter count and almost brand new condition vs a6000 with 41k shutter count with issue of stiff mode dial and have signs of use. The price is about the same. But which one should i choose? Please help me. I hope someone would chime in. Thanks in advance. 😊

I can chime in. If you are doing selfies, A5100 is better. Now, if you will do professional shoot and need a hotshoe and eyepiece, the A6000. That A5100 was excellent at 8K though. But A6000 is great too!

They have the same autofocus point I think and even this KZreadr with "frost" on his name, I can't recall, is using A5100 to test Sony lenses on his channel so you know its trusted a lot. Go for the cheaper body since they will provide the same result and use the money to purchase better lenses (primes).

ZV-E10 can be a cheaper prospect, A6600 covers all even the stabilization. Both are a little pricey though.
