series hit me in so many levels. absolutely beautiful, that’s the stuff that stays with you

this is a masterpiece, im so glad i witnessed sonny boy's beginning and end.

this was such a fitting song for their escape

I don't think there has been an anime in recent times to make me think so much about our current place in life. Sonny Boy certainly knocked some sense into my head, and this song with the sequence its befitting to is one that really sums up the mood for the whole episode, where most episodes lack music focus, this one scene really made you sit and experience it, it brings you closure.

I just finished the last episode and during the scene where they run back to their original world I started tearing up. I have no clue why, it isn't anything to make a person cry, I usually don't cry to such stuff. The combination of the music, the animation, the story, overall direction of the series and just everything at once overwhelmed me to such a point I burst into tears. I feel like this will sound very pretentious and stupid to others, but I've never had such a reaction to any anime before. Upon listening to this song I started to cry again, it's just something that makes me very emotional for no apparent reason. Sonny boy as a series is something I will remember for a very long time, you don't see such bold original anime too often these days and this one will hold a special place in my heart, truly a modern masterpiece.

Not only you fam. My heart feels hollow and heavy at the same time. I really wanted to see Nozomi but how they did that was not at all what I’d in mind. That was pretty much a perfect ending but seeing how realistic it was - that scared me. I guess i really wanted Nozomi or Narumi to keep their promise. The ending left on a hopeful note but I dont think they can make another season for just that one moment.

This song brings me feelings of missing, of things that will never happen in the same way again, of people who will never come back. It's bad that something from the anime happened in real life... Each one to their own side, like strangers, just like we were before. Nothing to do

Finished this anime today, man that left me feeling kind of empty. I wanted more with Mizuho and Nagara, are they going to keep in touch? I couldn't even tell. I figured Nozomi would die by the end of the anime since episode 1 tbh, she just felt "too good" to be kept alive. Well technically she was there in their world but in a sense the one they knew is dead. Though a tiny bit unsatisfied, I have to admit the ending was perfect and realistically bittersweet. This anime will hold a special place in my heart.

Yea that's also my only problem, their conversation in the last episode didn't rlly feel like they've been together for some years. I'm not forcing them to become lovers or anything it's enough for me to just see them supporting each other like close friends.

I too expected that Nagara would keep his promise to befriend Nozomi but unfortunately he didn't. Them becoming lovers is too much plus I think Nagara is too busy with his life. Still it was a good ending due to Nagara being contented to see her alive.
