Sonmarg or Sonamarg is a very popular place among tourist. It shows you both the greenery of Kashmir and the dryness of Ladakh. Its the gateway town between Srinagar and Leh.
Here one have two options either to visit Thajiwas Glacier or to visit Zojila Pass Zero Point and explore further into Ladakh.
We visited Zero point and it was an astounding experience. We ejoyed both the journey as well as the destination tourist spots.

It appears you went there in summer months. We went there in December 1st week. The entire route and the mountains were fully covered with snow. Even the zero point was a field of snow all over.
Aapko Thajiwas Glacier zaroor jana chahiye tha. Paidal hi ja sakte the.. Scenic beauty bahut hai.. Hum 61years k hain aur October ke first week mein paidal hi gaye the.

After a lot of bargaining the fare was fixed at 3000/- out of which we gave our share... It took around 1 - 1.5 hrs to reach zojila from sonmarg...

Sonmarg se zero point Jane aur ghoom kar fir sonmarg aane me kitna time laga aapko? Waha se aane ke bad usi din glacier tracking ho jaegi?
