This was the first video game I ever played in my life and I still never passed it, it is so hard! I remember telling my older brother to pass it for me or get me far enough because I couldn’t and he didn’t want to so I would tell my mom and my mom would tell him to beat it for me 😂 I was a mean kid

My first game was the og super Mario Bros on nes, but this and mania are my favorite classic sonic games

Hands down... One of the best Sonic games of all times. I remember spending hours with this one. My favorite tune was and still is the Chemical Plant. Feelin' all nostalgic now. Thanks for uploading this walkthrough, fella.

My favorite tune is Oil Ocean but I love the Chemical Plant zone. I'm grateful to have played this game even while a Gen Z. :D

The chemical plant music was such a banger

I played this game and I completely did it 100%.

Great playthrough from a time in the mega drives cycle where it really found it's place.

Everything about sonic 2 is iconic to sonic fans and even people who grew up knowing about sonic: the ost, the levels, the frustrating moments, the final boss, the 7 chaos emeralds, the ending. The fact that this was completed in under a year makes this one of the biggest success stories in gaming and makes this game one of the best games to release at all.

Aqua run was the BEST!

I beat the whole game as a kid, my favorite thing to do in this game was to bounce around in the pinball section of casino night zone, and I thought that sonic worked really well as a pinball, then my dad got me sonic spin ball for Christmas and I almost teared up

I remember that robot hedgehog was terrifying.

i played this 6, 7, 5,, or 4 years ago (or 8) and this was nostalgic and i was born in 2015 (8 years ago) and the theme song when you pick a character (or sonic or tails) is was so nostalgic! love this game!

None of these games were translated back then and when I and my friends played it we were still 4 years away from our first English lesson. So we had no idea what the gems were for and ignored them after some time, because we weren't too hyped for the bonus stage. We finished the game without ever going Super Sonic. I'm actually just here to see Sonic going Super Sonic for the first time.

I remember me and my cousins got to the final level after hours of playing. I don’t remember but I don’t think there were memory cards for the genesis back then. If there was I don’t remember. I was so young that maybe I didn’t even know how to save it lol. Then my other older cousins came over and took the control from us and they died in the plane and turtle part. We were so pissed but we never tried it again lol.

I get to wing fortress and get stuck,so this is very helpful. Also never got all the chaos emeralds,what a nostalgic & great game. One of my favourites even now. 😀

I have played this game before but I am in mystic caves

I remember spamming the slot in the casino level until I had like 40 lives as a kid and even then I still never completed the game

This is my favorite Sonic game on Megadrive. I've finished it dozens of times and I'll play it again, everything is good in this game, the music, the atmosphere, the graphics, the fun.

I might be wrong, but I remember at the end, there was a cutscene where Sonic walked outside Metropolis and saw Tails in the plane. IDK, but I just remember.

Chemical plant and it’s snnoying water sections killed me so much I can’t even pass it and I have to watch someone else 😂

I remember using tails for a test crash dummy to in the bonus zones.. good times lol.

emerald hill is called emerald hill because you can get all chaos emeralds in the first zone

Massive improvement over the first game, making it seem like an untested beta by comparison in my opinion. My brother does like some of the later titles, yet this is where it pretty much peaked for me as far as Sonic is concerned - heh, and I can see I'm not alone here in that assessment either, am I. (=^_^=)

All you have to do just get all the chaos emeralds and then when you get them all you got to click how many rings what they say alright so so you have to get all the cats we see checkpoints with purple sprinkles on the top of it jump in it and you go to the special stage and then when you do the right thing you you will do you will get the chaos emeralds right and then when you get all of them you'll be super sonic all you had to do just collect 50 60 911 100 110 120 1330 or something and then when you jump you push the jump button again and that's how you turn super Sonic get all the characters so good luck
