I've actually read that blog a couple of years back, one of my biggest fears making these videos is that I might accidentally steal a joke from it lol.

Honestly im glad they didn't just kill her or pretend she never existed after she turned out to be unpopular and decided to make her do her own thing. I dunno I think that's neat.

When I first heard of Mina, I thought she was just an unnecessary love interest for Sonic since we already had Sally and Amy, but then I gained a lot of respect for her as a character when I saw that unlike the other two love interests, she was more of someone who had a crush and was shy about admitting her feelings. I felt this made her more relatable, and then when she was heartbroken to find Sonic and Sally were together, then took the bullet for Sally, she became my favorite character to originate in the comics (I'm even debating if this includes the Freedom Fighters who were in SatAM considering the comics came out before the show.)

Holy shit Okay, so- they used to sell the Sonic comic at my local 7-11, and I remember being a very young child who could barely read. I remember flipping through one, and seeing some chick with purple curly hair and robot arms die, and at the time I understood it as she was dying *from* her robot arms. I... I think this was it. My introduction to the Sonic comic was Mina Mongoose getting shot.

If Sonic was a fuckboy in the games, it's nothing compared to how much of a fuckboy he was in the Archie comics with all of the girls he attracted and/or was interested in. As ludicrous as it all is, you have to keep in mind that this is Archie we're talking about, the company that started with the famous love triangle graphic novel series of all time.

@@fightingmedialounge519 There are examples throughout the Sonic media: In terms of the games, Sonic and the Black Knight features Sonic missing a date with Amy, and him flirting with the Lady of the Lake (who happens to look just like Amy). In the cartoons, Sonic and Sally are in a romantic relationship and don't hide it at all in SATAM; Sonic has expressed interest in Breezie, a robot designed to be alluring to the hedgehog, and various other girls that may be love and/or sexual interests to him. Even in Sonic X, Sonic shows signs that he does care about and possibly has feelings for Amy, despite his many screwups with her. And this is why I made a point about the Archie comics.

@@SmokeTheHorsehog wouldn't really count missing as date much of an example considering Amy's the only one who sees it as that. The cartoons have nothing to do with what happens in the games. I get your point, it's just using the Games as a point of reference is a poor call considering the virtually non existent romance within them.

I kinda liked Mina. She was a pretty fun character. And her whole Nicole arc was interesting especially when they reconciled. Yknow Id love to see your takes on the 25 and 30 years later shit like you mentioned at the end of the video. That shit was really crazy.
