I remember doing these missions as a kid when I got the game for Christmas! I had so much trouble with Egg Factory mission 4 since I had no idea there was a shortcut I had to take to get the other robots.

Plus the time it takes to get them right enough for gold because they're fucking difficult I got all of Zero Gravity's challenges several times. The original Riders? Not even once ZG was way easier all around though

I like how the story behind mission mode is just Sonic and co being dicks to the Babylon Rogues.

I miss playing these two games. Jet, Wave, Storm and of course, Silver were my go to characters. Only played the third one at GameStop and I am glad I chose not to buy Free Riders.

@@playerback7722 if they put the amount of effort as the first game into a new one, Sonic Riders could comeback as Mario Kart's competitor again.

Before I complete all the missions, I had to collect a lot of junk pieces in every 2nd mission for each stage for Storm's and Wave's missions and some missions for Jet's missions to unlock the 4 gears in Mission mode: Fastest, Turbo Star, Powerful Gear, and Legend.

I remember i used to rage of this game because of those mission that drove me insane

yeah sonic heroes and sa2 extra missions are sooo hard too.

Ah, very good really, i am probably one of those weirds that has played this game too many time, but i notice that you use the breaks a lot to correct small trayectories, a good technique, but you could reduce how much you use it a bit more with a bit of practice increasing the amount of air at you access, giving you a bit more of air for either a tight courner or a boost for when you need it.

I searched out this video, just to say this: I love sonic riders, but doing all Storm, Wave and Jet mission on Goldrank just to unlock the last few characters.. OOF. that really was just a way to stretch out playtime. I'd even be kinda cool with that if I could choose character and gear myself, instead of using Sonic, amy, tails and knuckles with their standard gear for what feels like 2000 levels.

I used to have a lot of trouble with these since I didn't understand the concept of holding either up or down at the jumps but now that I do they are a breeze

brings back memories, i had both Sonic Riders and Zero Gravity, and I completed all the missions but never gotten Gold in all of them to unlock super sonic, and im glad i didnt because super sonic runs on rings.

I remember playing these missions as a teenager when I got the game the moment it came out, and I keep getting bronze and silver emblems, although I managed to get gold ones

You have to hold back on the analog stick as you're charging your jump.

Oh, this is actually the Japanese version of the game. It has the choices of English or Japanese subs compared to the US version for some reason.

The character recaps remind me of Sonic Adventure 1 & 2

it worked now, only on VERY specific ramps are you required to hold the control stick down to reach the secret shortcuts, this game is deep and convoluted.

@@ram_taka3436 you have to go to normal mode and play grand prix, play both hero and babylon tournaments, and get the gold metals, you will then unlock secret stages, when you unlock them you also unlock the storm and wave missions for it, after you do the missions on the secret levels you get from the grand prix you get jet missions.
