I'd definitely agree that Sonic Prime is a solid show, especially after season 2. Wildbrain did a fantastic job making the characters expressive and fluid whether they're fighting or not. My main issues are definitely the worlds not being that interesting personally, Chaos Council is kinda uninteresting outside of Mr. Dr. Eggman and I do agree with the point of some fights dragging on. The battle in the pirate world is the first thing that came to mind when you mentioned that. Other than those, I think it is good for what it is and what it's trying to do. Hearing your perspective on Sonic's characterization made me appreciate him more in this show, although I do wish they went about it differently, what we have still gets the point across. Shadow and Nine alongside Sonic are definitely making it worth the watch with their interactions and I'm interested to see how things will end in the last batch of episodes.

I think they could've approached Sonic's character a bit differently but I think the issue is moreso that it's a kid's show so it limits their writing. He's kinda like a Ben Tennyson that doesn't shutup.

I thought season 1 was decent, but season 2 was very hit-and-miss for me. Some episodes were good, a couple were okay, but two were straight-up bad; episode 3 and episode 6. Sonic X is still better to me

I guess it depends what side of the fan base that perceives this show. I get the sense this show isn’t as popular as say Sonic Boom because it isn’t haha constant comedy like Boom was even though that’s not what it aims. Season 2 felt very middling storyline based episodes. Because that’s what it is. Not a fan of the long gap breaks over finished episodes. It’s been alright for me so far. I’m not over the moon. I’m not in love what I seen. I’m just taking in what it is. Not the most amazing thing I seen, but far from bad either.

They’re funny but they’re not that great. To be honest the best two sonic shows are SATAM and X
