just hope the game looks better at launch. right now, it looks the exact same as the original. at least the shadow stuff looks cool tho

This game seems more like a test run for things to come in the future since frontiers has already established the open zone gameplay this seems to test out the level layout portion. One thing I hope this game does for shadow's portion of the game and his levels is to take some pages out of generations and unleashed's book and make the levels bigger instead of short like what we been getting with the cyberspace levels. Plus those levels should involve shadow using his abilites to traverse the level like what Sonic omens did where shadow could use his abilities to take hidden pathways or shortcuts.

I don't think we'll get many traversal abilities outside of boost and homing attack because of how powerful the characters are in the boost games but I do hope to see longer levels. The bite-size stuff works for Frontiers but for a more traditionally formatted game, I would love to see larger levels.

I'm definitely keeping my expectations in check for Shadow Generations, but I do hope this game sticks the landing. I do agree that it probably won't be that long, maybe it'll have 9 stages like Gens or slightly more than that. I'm curious to see how they integrate the combat into the traditional Sonic levels since there has to be a good flow to keep the pace going. Hopefully we see more footage in the next Nintendo Direct since Sonic tends to make appearances there as of late. I'm also hoping the boss fights are more in-depth with how you fight them, the trailer shows me the spectacle is gonna be there but I want to see something more than just spamming attacks on the enemy. Kinda like The End in the Final Horizon DLC, but SIGNIFICANTLY less jank. Honestly, I just need more footage to get a better idea of what's going regarding story and gameplay.

Pretty much akin to Bowser’s Fury. Wholly separate new campaign. Hopefully it feels meaningful and large content to behold.

If it's literally just a sonic generations port that runs good on new consoles then I'd be happy. It's a good game if you liked it before why wouldn't want to play it on new consoles? I just hope it runs smooth and the shadow levels are good
