it might happen, but i really hope that isn’t the case. it’s kind of unlikely though; i don’t think they’d tease a sequel we don’t even know will happen in the trailer of an unreleased movie.

It’s actually so amazing watching this with the knuckles series coming in 2 months and the third movie in 9 and thinking WHAT THE HELL WOULD’VE TAILS, KNUCKS AND SHADOW LOOKED LIKE IN THIS STYLE-

Still my fave reaction from you. I love how you tried so hard to be open minded about the whole thing but then it all starts sinking in around 14:59 and how gradually pissed off you're getting 😂

I think the plot is gonna be good. But Sonics design is by far the worst part of the movie.

11:23 "What's a genesis?" Genesis basically means beginning. So basically, the quote means every hero has a beginning or this is Sonic's first movie.

I'm glad you got mad at the end. SEGA and Paramount need your rants, Sam. You're our voice! We all want to be positive but it's hard. The design is horrendous. Also, comment from my 60 year old parents: "Hum. We don't like it, because he looks unrealistic, like a muppet!" THAT'S THE IRONY. My parents think he's even LESS realistic than his in-game design!!! The ONLY think the Fast & Furious tried to do, he made it worse...

The movie looks promising, but why does sonic look like a Dr Seuss character. 😆

I REALLY love your analysis to this, you took the good and bad and looked at it in a different perspective. Appreciate it man.

A lot of the original trailer uploads are gone now, and the only one I could find has comments disabled, so I'll say it here We went from this blue carton of eye bleach to Keanu Reeves being cast to voice Shadow the Hedgehog. And, from what we can see in the post-credits, Shadow looks as beautiful as ever. Good job, everyone. I love each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart.

Moral of the trailer: the only Sonic characters that can look decent in live action CGI movies are robots, like Gamma and Omega.

Somebody get the Infinity Gauntlet -_- On a side note , with the goggles down Jim Carrie actually makes for a semi-decent Eggman. EDIT: the reason why I say semi-decent is because they haven't really shown us much. But its Jim Carrie , the dude made The Grinch live action movie tolerable, so who knows.

Sonic looks sh*t, but Jim Carrey as Eggman is pretty good. He is funny as hell and he still keeps some traits of Eggman from the games. I'm really excited for Jim Carrey's performance as Eggman.

that ring teleporter is nothing new. its from Sonic 1 where you get teleported to get a Chaos Emeralds and its also from Sonic Comics. where Rings can teleport you anywhere

They should shrink a bit the body size and increase a bit the head size. The face is too flat in certain angles and is something penders would designed. Even tiny details like increased the hand a feet size would help the whole design. He doesn’t emote very well aswell. They done fucked up, everything in the trailer is ok except sonic itself. Edit: I feel Jim will Carrey this movie

Pretty sure the loss of power/energy surge that the army detected is when Sonic enters OUR world, not from him running. And the End shot of Robotnik is him having entered SONIC's world, hence how it's in Mushroom Hill and he looks so happy

The "Sonic & Robotnik entering each other's worlds" thing may make sense, but the thing about the energy surge being caused by Sonic entering "our world" is total made up garbage you pulled outta thin air. How does that even make sense? They showed him running so fast that he generated a gigantic sonic boom then showed the energy surge. That implies that that's what caused it.

It was more like a fresh start/reboot after the Master System didn't do as well as expected. They even went out of their way to create a cool mascot with Sonic as opposed to Alex Kidd or Opa Opa. Nearly 30 years later, and they destroy anything COOL about Sonic... All that hard work went into Sonic's design, only to be destroyed by Iizuka time and again.

I think they went for blue lightning effect to explain why when sonic runs there is a blue streak that follows. Maybe its also cause considering the speed he can travel he’s creating some sort of energy wave around himself which when released comes out somewhat like lightning. Also, in a lot of movies where there is time travel lightning is used when they are about to teleport and if Sonic can go very fast then its meant to represent that he can go so fast he can create the same amount of energy that would be needed for time travel
