Now the timeline of shadow the hedgehog makes sense he sure was patient to wait for technology to be invited on earth, and the professor must've been pretty desperate but in his defense he also needed someone to look after his granddaughter, and he was only trying to help humanity too, then eventually he learned the truth of Black doom's intentions, but then GUN came and assaulted him and his research team. It must've been that he was also repenting for making contact with that comet along with being assaulted by the military and the loss if his granddaughter that made him insane, but in the end it was shadow who put an end to Professor Gerald's nightmare. Now dear old grandpa can rest easy knowing that shadow will never let evil go unchecked.

I thought I was done with this guy. Now I hear he's the big bad in Sonic x Shadow Generations. Expect a version 2 of this and the Shadow vid sooner or later.

Oh and because Shadow inherited Black Arms dna from Black Doom, he was able to resist the Black Comet's paralyzing gas.

Always found it weird that Black Doom doesn't even look like the rest of his kind, and also the only one of said kind who speaks.

Since Shadow and Maria Robotnik are going to be in Sonic 3 Black Doom should be in Sonic 3 as well

The story of the ark makes a little no sense because Gerald‘s real purpose of the eclipse canon was to use as revenge after Maria was killed but then in the shadow the hedgehog the purpose of it was to destroy black doom, and another thing that if shadow was created with black doom’s DNA doesn’t that make black doom shadow’s father?

Yes it’s Truth that Black Doom is Shadow’s Biological Father and that Gerald is his creator/father figure you can say and about what you said about Gerald’s Purpose does makes sense. Because first off when he created Shadow with the help of Black Doom he found out that Black Doom was going to the destroy the earth 50 years later when the black comet returns and Gerald was using the eclipse cannon and shadow to stop Black Doom and the black arms. But then later when the Gun soldiers began to raid the space colony ark and killed Maria that’s when Gerald began insane and used the space colony ark to destroy the earth as revenge for what the humans did to Maria. So Basically Gerald’s Purpose was to first use the eclipse cannon and Shadow to destroy Black Doom and the black arms and then after Maria got killed by Gun Soldiers that’s when Gerald began insane and used the Eclipse Cannon & Shadow as Revenge for what happened to his granddaughter Maria.

The Eclipse Canon predates Gerald going insane. He simply booby-trapped it when he went insane. Amusingly this means his back-up plan, if Shadow wasn't released, was that when the Black Arms showed up someone would try to use the canon to save the planet - and then accidentally cause the Earth-Destruction program to begin.
