Sonic LAB Earthquaker Devices Afterneath

Ғылым және технология

Also available in pedal form, Earthquaker Devices Afterneath is a complex and unusual reverb processor described as:
A wizard bursting forth from ethereal cave and ready for the ambient battle. You are the wizard - or sorceress, if you prefer - and the cave is your instrument’s signal, vast, expansive, and magical. Do you go inside?
And in many ways its an accurate description of this unusual device, although more accurately it could be described as a digital reverb made up from a bunch of delay lines.
Certainly it can and does sound other worldly, with some great ambient and textural sounds as well as more regular reverb and delays.

I received mine last week. The Afterneath is so wonderful and far more useful to me than a pedal reverb. My favorite thing to do: Arcadian Rhythms (gate buttons) -> York Modular 8 step sequencer -> Afterneath Drag input. Clicking a button advances a sequencer step and changes the pitch of the reverb. Love it.

Very clean presentation. Voiceover was super clear and the accompanied audio examples were very pleasant and informative.

It is my favorite pedal, and I might have to sell plasma to get CV control over it 😄 I can't tell you how excited I got when I saw earthquaker getting into modular!😭🤯😆

I wish people would stop adding reverb and delay to demo videos. I just want to hear exactly what the module itself is doing... ;)

I think you may be confused. He says in the first few seconds it's a reverb built from digital delay lines. How can you be uptight the video has reverb and delay?

EQD with EDD, nice review. I have the Afterneath v2 pedal and having gone down the rabbit hole, you've persuaded me to put the modular version with all its quirky loveliness on my shopping list.

This is not a pedal. It’s a module for eurorack. Drag, mode, diffuse, and length can be CV controlled. Things like envelops, triggers, LFOs can be sent to modulate the parameters.

@@sonicstate yeah a feedback chain input would require a lot more to the patchbay, not to mention if it was mono for feedbacm you'd loose the stereo otherwise
