He's probably the nicest musician out there. Totally cool guy without trying to be. Always a joy to watch/listen to.

Adrian Utley is a hero of mine. Went to a Portishead concert in the middle 90's: loved it! :-)

Adrian is the reason i got into hardware synths around 10 years ago, the video of him playing the Arturia MiniBrute prompted me to buy a MicroBrute as i couldn't afford the Mini. Love Portishead and love this guy!!!

Could listen to Adrian talk for hours - his chat with Alex ‘MylarMelodies’ is really good. Every so often I just gotta have a listen to (or watch) Portishead’s NYC concert - it’s so perfect in every way. P E A C E : )

Very interesting interview, Adrian is a smart dude. For a synth which seems ostensibly simple, I suspect that it's very versatile in usage.

“Vehicle for making music” haha He’s described most people I’ve seen into synths. Also glad he explained how old he is 🤣

Free Moogs for everybody! Got a Subsequent37 and love it, just had a S&H noodle on it. With a Korg ARP Odyssey and DB Impact this can be very enjoyable. The Subsequent is a bit of a mini MiniMoog (two VCOs with sub), but... It is half or even less the price, full MIDI CC, presets and so on. The Sub37 is the bargain of this 21th century. A Moog is a Moog of course of course...

I still remember sonicstate's interview with Adrian from years ago. He talked about using his Arp for 'Third' and it was great. Now, we need 'Fourth' Adrian hint hint. I'm not rich so i have a certain Model D clone in my eurorack set up. It sounds amazing through reverb or delay. Slight detune and it brings a really warm and vintage sound.

We can totally relate to what he says about Moogs / Wendy Carlos / Tomita..........it really is magic when you hear them.......Sextant i/Herbie s a great synth album ......that one is so far out and the water sounds on it are just so cool....more Arp than Moog!
