The idea of Hyper forms (usual method or some alternate "Cyber" method, possibly related to those "experience bits" from defeated Ancients' sentries that let Sonic learn all those new moves) having light blue eyes I actually quite like because that can represent the Chao side of the user. Wouldn't be surprised if that was Ian Flynn's idea considering he suggested the Ancients be the Chao's ancestors to begin.

This had better mean The End actually has a good fight to signify the impact it has on Sonic lore as a whole.

The fight it had was still good and difficult, especially with the setting and what it says it definitely already signified the impact it has on Sonic lore. But I'm not gonna say no to another cool fight.

I really enjoyed the Updates so much that I think this is one of the top Sonic games of all time. If Update 3 builds up from what Update 2 did, but have the aspects be amazing, this would be a 9/10 or higher (with decimals) game in general.

I like the simplistic form. For the revamped End boss he may push the form further. This could just be an omen type form like goku with ultra instinct. Could just be combining the powers but not fully transformed

This was the most unexpected but welcome thing I‘ve seen today!

DLC wave 3 is almost HERE 1 month away across these newer frontiers and this looks incredible throughout these new horizons!

I'm calling it, I'm getting to try out the final update Sonic Frontiers next month and I'm hoping to hell that the final update will be a whole lot more satisfyingly awesome than the last 2 updates. Update 3 here we come!!!

The REAL question is... will Supreme still pack heat?

This new Super Sonic form is looking sick and awesome, hopefully we get a new different fighting form

Exactly my first thoughts.

IM SO HYPED FOR THIS UPDATE LETS GOOOOOO!!!!

This looks absolutely insane and it's right around the corner geez. So excited to see this new story and what looks to may be a new version of the Supreme fight and The End. A theory I have is that Supreme steals all the emeralds from Sonic and you'll actually need to get them back before facing him in this Cyber energy Super form. I mostly say that because Supreme now has seven arms, one to hold each emerald.

I once thought that they could use the chaos emeralds to wake sonic up, so he can surpass the energy enough. It leads to a new form that is somewhat painful for sonic, but necessary for defeating the end.

Guys we may have lost the voice of Mario but at least we got some good Sonic news out of it

Until somebody says otherwise I'm calling that transformation super Sonic 2 as in like super Saiyan 2 I just realized I'm not sure if anyone else has but save now actually has a pair of shoes unlike her previous form that's a cute little detail

I really wonder how this will be done in game if it's a retelling. Maybe it will be a new menu option with save files?? If it switches the actual events of the story (maybe during/after Rhea) then it would be cool to have the option to play "the old version" for anyone who wants to (me ._.) Overall, I am just really excited for this just like everyone else, but I feel more interested on how it will be handled.

I guess is safe to say, based on that CGI, the following: I HAVE SO MANY QUESTIONS!!! That screenshot with the gang facing that giant enemy only makes me imagining something that could kick-off the next big adventure in the modern era. But why can't I shake the feeling that we could face, in the near future, the Metarex? Thanks to all the lore given to Frontiers, I have no doubt that they could potentially reintroduce us to the game-universe version of these enemies that debuted in the final arc of the anime. And Sonic's new look in the eyes... Could this be a reimagining of the lore from Sonic 3 & Knuckles? Could this be the modern version of the Hyper Form? September is just around the corner and I can't wait for this story update.

Well, Ian Flynn did originally proposed the idea of Hyper Sonic for the The End Boss for Sonic Frontiers back in February in his Bumblekast episode, but the idea was shot down by Sonic Team to avoid the Next Tier Power-Up troupe.
