God rest the souls of those brave Catholic and other Jacobite clansmen and their Irish, French, and English allies who fell in '45! Requiescant in pace!

Glad I got to meet Alex at 2009 Scotsfest. National treasure. I introduced him to my brother and and father who are 6'6 and 6'4. He said "you're giants!"

Wow! Great info...the average highlander was 5foot 6 and done more damage to any army ...until this latest invasion 😄 Where's the big men now when we need them against an invasion of young men not of European shared culture? You probably welcome them with open legs 😄
Our church holds a Kirk'n 'o the Tartin each year. These tunes should be included with our lunch.

Would these really hrlp your digestion?
This was a lovely Alex Beaton compilation and a sentimental listen to Scottish folk music, Jacobite prose, & a bygone era of music & community-common ground. Thanks for virtually-conserving these reels. 🍀🌱⚔️🏴
Mighty. I am adescendant of The Bruce & the House of Stuart and these grand ballads help me hear my ancestors whispering in my ear. Alba Gu Bràth & Almighty God bless the Bonnie Prince Charlie!

I've met Alex several times. a great singer.!
If i listen tae such songs (without any need of transation).. i can only say a damn big "THANK YA" tae my old English teacher... a Highlandman from Clan Mckenzie, in Germany, who turned my bad "Oxford"-English into a accaptable spoken Highland-English(good enough, that the Residents thought, i would be a Scot). Was a damn good job from him.
Loving this. One of a Fraser!!
I just love the musical ❤

Great music
Really Enjoyable thanx
Exceptional.
May the old gods and new watch over those who fell that day, twas a sad day for my ancestors the Mackinnons that fought there and them and their allies will always be remembered as will all who where lost fighting for the freedom of this country
I wouldn't suggest that 'Twa Recruiting Sergeants' is a Jacobite song. It refers to the post Jacobean period where Scots troops were used as cannon fodder by the Union. Likewise the song 'Scottish Soldier'. It is a great compilation of Scots songs for all that. 😉
There seems to be a moment of silence hiding Bonnie Dundee. Otherwise great!
This is really great, thanks
Wonderful music, the true heart of Scotland, my kin , that must be protected and not destroyed and insulted by islamist dictatorship 🏴✊️

Scottish-American here. Ancestors names Crawford, Campbell, MacDonald, McDougal and Cunningham. Please, dear men, do not let Scotland go the way of the leftists that have destroyed the US.
My Mc Neilly blood feels left out of the song. 🎉
Most of those songs were written long after the Jacobite wars
This sounds way too modern to be Jacobite.

Most of these songs are between 200 and 300 years old
