Hi Dave Thanks for the shout out. The book was beautifully made. A lot of hard gone into it with the illustrations and calligraphy. George was such a spiritualist. While My Guitar Gently Weeps is one my favourite Beatles songs. You may have to sell your collection sooner with the way our energy bills are going. Take care and see you on the next one 🙂

Hi Sarah, No worries! Genesis make the books well but they certainly charge a pretty penny too! Yes a very deep thoughtful man who wrote some incredible songs. Well, I certainly hope it doesn’t come to that or it could be cold water to wash in from now on! This countries sure gone to the dogs! Have a great week!

Beautiful old Victorian-style illustrations that remind of some of my childhood books. George had such good taste, didn't he ?? You continue to amaze with your one-of-a-kind collection, my friend ! I think I'll revisit this video a few times for sure ! Thanks, Dave---see you next week !

Hey there BD., Thank you so much for your previous words; refleciing my very recent ' Circle of Life ' xperience. Ya know, meant to ask thee before if you had either these sets,funny; perhaps I did, don't honestly recall& don't matter anyway. So glad you made a fabulous 🎥 about it !! It's So Awesome ; only found out bout last year, so do believe its rarity . I say , it's so George, yeah, that wonderful artwork & songs ( lyrics) in no particular order of ' Harrisongs'- u gotta 💘 it, man. Didn't know Warner had passed on those songs; perhaps in '23 the Estate.will release a humble, 1 record or two , of his tremendous extras. There's this one number, Dave- we love it so much; gotta find out the title- didn't write down& have heard many more great tunes whilst searching. Reminds me little of title ' Flying HR.', oh well. So much to enjoy. Am little shocked to hear of $( at issue,& presently)- but really shouldn't I guess. On one recent out o' town simple lunch- cost me 30.$, unreal,as Ky.has much lower sales tax than Tn. There was the transport to& fr. the hotel, mean tipping the shuttle ya know& my great server. But; Heaven knows, the costs gots to get better. At least, real estate is starting lower a bit; bro.just got a new 🏠. Ciao 4 now , M.

Lol I can’t understand why they passed on all those other outtakes rather than the demos, but yes maybe a future release when they want some more of our £ ! New house ? Wow! sounds fab! Ever since got hired at 18 rite out o' school into the Steelworkers,& their strong union; have understood significance of good, strongly& fairly organized labor. And, always thought it great that where u are, there' actually a political labour party. Sorry mate, as was winding down my long comment- I weren't clear; it's my younger brother that got the new house.He's in Florida's capital , Tallahassee. Think had mentioned they were planning an England( including Livetpool)& Ireland holiday in Oct. Now, he allows its just to be 🇮🇪 Ireland , for a wedding& a few days. I look >> to watching your latest ' Beatles City' video in day or 2- haven't watched yet. Thinkin' if ever can come to UK., your city- late August wud b the time. The thought of possibly joining on your annual( is it) to Liverpool , wud ,I'm sure, be spectacular. Do hope get a new home in 2, 3 yr.s if put away enuff 'Grants'-50.$ dollar notes, ha. Super week

The only " special," George Harrison item i have is double gatefold "All things Must Pass," former Yugoslavia pressing,limited edition. No " Apple Jam," no poster. Got it as a present when i bought it " My Sweet Lord," ' 45'. Nice video Dave.😎

Dave, fantastic video, the book so awesome, the illustrations superb, I tell you Dave I do want this, do you think I could find one that is reasonable? This book is one that I too would treasure, Dave your collection is more than fantastic you said 40 years, my collection is nowhere as great as yours, the Beatles from day one Are and always will be my favorite , number one group of all time,, my collection I’ll pass down to my children they have been fans of the Beatles for a long , long time, Dave Thank You for this and all your videos , My Friend, TakeCare, BeSafe, Steve

Hi Steve, Thanks my friend! Very hard to find these and can be expensive, however they do turn up on eBay so you could get lucky. Oh yes I agree , I did think about passing the collection on but not sure it would be cherished as much as I cherish it! Stay well mate !

Hi Jason, Absolutely welcome and really glad you appreciate and enjoyed this wonderful book! I basically collect anything I find interesting or haven’t got , mainly vinyl and 8 tracks. Although , if its interesting I’ll buy it , I don’t turn much down! Actually, I don’t have those books as I’m trying to downsize books as I’ve just got too many and many say the same thing over and over. I do have a few other Genesis books I will show in due course too thou ! Stay well!

While I've long been aware of this, it's the first time I've ever seen it. What a thing of beauty it is! Thanks for the video on it. Strange question, but do you know if the Keith West who illustrated the book is the same one who had a hit with the... cloying (?) Excerpt from a Teenage Opera (a.k.a. Grocer Jack)? If so, he's proved he's good at something, at least! Looking forward to Vol. 2 (presumably).

Hi Dave. O WOW you know I never got this win it came out Because it was $$$ win it came out.... LOL But now it is a hole lot more $$$lol!!! I sure am glad to see this and now it is so much more!!! You know I do think I do like this a lot better the BIG Uber box set by George blow out :). But I am glad you have it and this sure is a well done set thank you for showing it, mate!!! This was a great one, Dave! I really wasn’t aware of this book for some strange reason, but your sharing of it scratched an itch I didn’t know I had! I’m looking forward to you coverage of Let it Be! Will you be covering anything regarding the Naked version any time soon?

Dave , we’re you aware that Genesis unexpectedly released the last 200 or 250 signed copies of the book only about 5 years ago ……don’t ask me why they kept them back , but they did. Thinking about it was probably 250 copies as that would have represented 10% of the total run. The week after release I was back and forth the Genesis site daily , tormenting myself to press the “Buy” button , I believe the new price was either £1000 or £1200 ? …and I just didn’t have that kind of money to spend on myself on a whim. Again , from memory , there was a 50/50 split between the vinyl single or the CD single to whit the vinyl version sold out within a day or two ( which eased my frustration to be honest as I didn’t really want the cd version) and the CD version took a week or so to sell out (again) It was an unusual occurrence as no-one knew that they had kept those extra copies back from the original sale all those years ago and why the time was right now to sell them……there wasn’t any kind of publicity in advance for the new drop , well none that I knew of anyway. I remember thinking to myself that it was going to piss off a lot of collectors that had seen the book appreciate in value over the years only for another 250 copies to arrive out of thin air.

Hi David, Yes I had an email when they put those remaining ones back up for sale. Songs by was still available right up to George’s death via genesis , which is why they withdrew them out of respect for George , so they said. I remember saying to my wife, I expect they’ll sell them at inflated prices one day! So low and behold , years later they decided to sell them off, 4 times more expensive then the original price! Trouble is , it’s always about money with these big companies , they can charge what they like when they have the goods you want ! Stay well!
