We have the songkran in Malaysia but celebrated in a smaller scale

Thanks Rick that was AMAZING. No offence to the foreign travellers who flock to the big tourist areas to have fun at Songkran as I've been 1 of them a couple of times but I enjoy more watching the party that happens with Thai locals outside of the tourist areas. I love the Thai spirit and their way of community and celebration that always makes me smile. You're totally correct how could you take Lilly and Daisey away from that without experiencing and understanding it for themselves?

Pretty wild there, but Chiang Mai and Bangkok are much crazier. This year seems way more crazy than last year! It's nice that everyone seems to welcome you, being the only farrang, just shows how friendly Thai people are.

@@rickyisaan Yea, I thought of that after I hit send, but it's more crazy this year than last. I won't go in town until it's over. Some roads have so many people you can't even drive on them. Completely over run with people.

Lots of small country town have a yearly festivals in Australia.
