Song of the Vajra - Chögyal Namkai Norbu Rinpoche - Dzogchen

This is a reading for meditation of Namkai Norbu's brief commentary (as well as the song itself) on the "Song of the Vajra". The origin of this song is the tantra of the union of sun and moon. Here is a link to the full text on Erik Pema Kunsang's website: levekunst.com/the-song-of-the-...
Chögyal Namkhai Norbu (1938-2018) was an eminent scholar of Tibetan culture and a master of life. A unique figure in the contemporary spiritual world, a Professor of Tibetan and Mongolian Language and Literature at the Naples Eastern University, and a leading authority on Tibetan culture, particularly in the fields of history, literature, traditional religions (Tibetan Buddhism and Bon), and Traditional Tibetan medicine.

I have experienced the egoless peace. However when I try to get back there by letting go of every attachment thought and desire sometimes I experience bliss other times I feel terror like I am going insane. Like even the voice in the video I am listening too is alien and I no longer understand the words. So frustrating I know let go of the frustrated self Let go of the self feeling terror Let go of the self seeking liberation Constant thoughts I just want the bliss again It's so insconsistant

The root of the problem (as I think you are aware) is this "I" who wants the bliss again. So long as there is a separate "I" who wants anything you will always be alienated from your True nature which exists beyond all experiences and all forms of dualistic perceptions, memories, and inconsistencies. You are bliss itself already - meaning a deep peace and contentment that is free and undying. You are not a temporary and changeful experience of bliss. There is a subtle yet powerful difference here.

@@SamaneriJayasara thankyou for your guidance, it is really appreciated. It has just become so difficult shaking off this 'i'. I feel fear which makes me feel like I have had a psychoactive drug, feeling all disorientated and my childhood traumas want to come up. I suppose this is why I feel stuck. Thankyou again ♥️

@@asafeplacepodcast2690 Yes, we need to hold much love, gentleness and patience for ourselves whilst these intense emotions and memories pass through us. If it gets too much, you should just relax and take a break from everything "spiritual" and practicing meditation. Just be natural and normal and give up striving for anything and everything. Just become a little child - a carefree, innocent one without any cares or memories anymore. Play lightly and freely. But do seek support - professional or otherwise - if and when you need it also. Sending much love your way 💜🌼🌈

@@enriquebalpstraffonthis song of the vajra comes from the taantra of the union of sun and moon. The translation is from longchenpa And the melody namkhai norbu used for this comes from his pure visions/terma teachings.
