I have to play this tomorrow and I didn’t get the amount of practice and time with the director (only got one session for this piece especially with the corona) also a freshman but I’m gonna work hard as heck to learn the cut I need to by tonight hopefully it works put in my favor

Don't follow the written sticking, instead play R-L-R-R-R(release)

fellow freshmen region band a to d i believe 0:27 to idk

For my school we have to play until F for the 9th grade cut!! The recording is due by Friday so wish me luck!

@@haleyhugo Obviously practice as much as you can so you're as comfortable as possible with the piece. But, I really recommend "performing" -> as in playing the piece as a way to express yourself, instead of playing it like you're trying to hit as many notes correct as possible (a.k.a. - trying to not miss any notes). We all miss notes! But, music should be about enjoying the performance, both as a player and as a judge (have fun, and "move and groove" as I like to say!). I hope that helps!

I only had about 2 weeks to learn and record this. So, I spent about 2 hrs in the morning and 1.5 hrs in the evening, everyday for those two weeks.

For all my fellow freshman I believe we only play to point c ( measure 25)

The lynn vartans are nice and articulate when it comes to marimba, and the light weight and rattan that you’re using will make the fast sections fairly easy to play. I’d recommend using medium-hard mallets for this piece, and these are a little bit harder than that, but that just means that you’ll have better staccato notes. See you at All-State >:)
