I wasn’t sure about the burnt paper look until seeing the end & also that other piece you had handy & I’m an instant convert! The piece looks amazing & I see what you mean about the charred effect adding to the piece when the Matt medium is spread across. Gives it a great colour

Does the Matt medium dull the shine of the metal leaf?

Hi! It does very slightly. Basically, if you are using the medium on only some of the foil, you will be able to tell a slight difference. But if you were just going to use it on all of the foil, it wouldn’t be so dull that it would be that noticeable. I hope that makes sense, lol.
