Something Is Not Right... Solving Another Indian Chief Problem
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
💭 Well, this is awkward. Not knowing how the speed sensor works on these bikes. Dang electronics.. Since getting this bike together, one issue I’ve had was with the rear speed sensor. Today, I figure out 100% what the problem is.

Nah , don't hide, I for one enjoy the authenticity of your videos, not editing out mistakes/ problems, the cluttered work bench, all add to the flavor of your videos.Im amazed at how far you have come..Well done!
I highly recommend getting a proper length spacer. I have seen the aftermath of blown wheel bearings and it ain't pretty! It destroyed the wheel, pully, brake disc and axle! That was a good solution!
Add washers to spacer to make longer
LOL, when I have days like that I go inside and get back in bed. Glad you got it all working. Persistence wins out in the end.
My fuel line popped off on my 2015 Roadmaster. I had fuel spilling all over my lap while going 65+ mph down the freeway. Just to be safe I ordered and installed a new fuel line. On the baggers, the fuel line exits from the top of the tank under the console.

Yikes. Mine was self inflicted. 😬
The joy of solving problems and not getting thrown off track by set backs.
Dude, I like your videos and the transparency you offer with your journey. As an amateur wrencher myself I can relate so much to the experiences you share. I love your perseverance. Keep it up! You give us hope :)

I appreciate it! My mistakes are laughable sometimes, but I'm human. Also, not a professional haha.
Lets go, Brandon back at it.
When I have to lay on the concrete I usually lay down some cardboard as a cushion.

Always enjoy your vids, brother. Keep it going! P.S.: Fire bad.
Brandon you dont have to be perfect, keep doing your thing.
So I just purchased stage 2 cams from Indian. Getting them installed on Friday. I wanted the 585 but they’re on back order and out the door they’d have cost double. Hope I did the right thing !
Been there. Back in the day, I had a V-Rod and made the mistake of letting a Harley dealership put a new tank on it. I was literally wringing the fuel out of my jeans when I made it home.
I was gonna ask if you were gonna get a lift, but you answered that.
Wow I was getting frustraited for you during this vid!! Lmao great job not smashing things to pieces!! 😅 and at least the bike did not burst into flames! So all in all mission accomplsihed 😊
Yeah, not wise to have the wrong spacer. That bearing will work its way in and you’re going to end up with the sensor getting torn up. Worse case scenario you end up with some wonky front end handling and possible wreck.

Would’ve been an epic chapter or conclusion
You seem to have the same luck as me, I may have been called a shit magnet a few times lol. If it weren't for bad luck we would have no luck at all. Hope it gets better and glad you made progress on the bike!
What kind of exhaust is that ? And would it fit a 14 chieftain ?
@BrandonBicasso

It’s angled for lean on Chief. He does exhaust for Road Glide too so he could make one for Chieftain. c3vtwin.com/products/2022-indian-chief-2-1-exhaust
Can you change a 21 inch wheel with that tire changer!
@BrandonBicasso
21 күн бұрын
You sure can! 12"-21" wheels and max tire size is 250mm.
Better cut it short. Mama is looking for you. Are the streetlights coming on?
Isn't there a thicker bearing or spacer you could use instead? (NM you admitted a new spacer would fix this correctly)
@BrandonBicasso
22 күн бұрын
Maybe. I didn't consider using a thicker bearing. However, the hub is only so deep on the side allowing a non toner ring bearing. The side with more clearance uses the toner ring bearing and those are pretty standard. I wasn't able to find an aftermarket solution for that bearing awhile ago. Same for my Low Rider S which uses a similar style bearing.
It doesn’t seem normal that the wire casing would rub like that intentionally by design!?! 🤷🏾♂️

When you’re running wheels that aren’t by design, yes.

Yes. Chief has a vented line so not really needed.
