If folks are struggling with (40:30) the strand of lights to clear the up top obstruction, just wrap the lights around the center palm tree by going down from the corner, they will work their way up the trunk and clear the path. Maka's guide of just dragging them in the corner doesn't seem to work anymore (probably an update, not Maka's fault)

This game wasn't too bad but the controls were so janky and found myself getting stuck on things a lot especially during chase sequences

yeah I just played this game today, found this game because I couldn't figure out how to get out the basement in the start. there should be some kind of meter or something. how was I supposed to know you had to hold down for like 3 seconds before the guy would do anything?

okay sorted it, wrapped the lights anti-clockwise once around the tree, then walk to the left. lifts lights high enough to hit the stuff above...

So I got stuck on the 2 trees and rope light section. Watched multiple videos and all done it the same but my lights just wouldn't lift high enough to clear the blockage. The way Maka does it and other videos are actually wrong. If you get stuck here like me, grab the light pole and instead of going in between and then stretching it, clear the centre and then go around the 2nd tree counter-clockwise one turn. This will lift the rope light above the ledge and clear the path.

Here's how I interpreted it. Everything after the giant cannon shoots you and purple guy into the big alien ship, you're inside the ship and everything you see is the aliens trying to get you to stop what you came there to do. The "memory orbs" that you end up destroying weren't memories, they were prisons where people were being shown what they wanted so they didnt know they were imprisoned or didn't mind being imprisoned, kinda like the alien version of the matrix. This is probably where anyone who was caught in the purple light went. After you destroy each one the person that was inside can be seen floating up off screen. Then at the end all the people in the giant circle are probably all the humans that had been abducted and were freed by you and purple guy. The resignation endings are them showing you your family and you accepting them even though they're fake, and presumably you end up in your own memory orb style prison. The war of the worlds ending isn't destroying Earth, it's destroying the alien ship (chose the path of violence). Family first and understanding I think you were correct, in one you free your family by sacrificing yourself, in the other you communicate with the aliens, Close Encounters style, and come to an understanding. They free your family, send everyone back to the surface, and leave. Only stuff I'm really not sure about is the humanoid aliens (assuming they're aliens at all). They obviously use the same technology as the other aliens, so are they an alien race that went to war with the bad aliens and used their own tech against them? And Earth just became a battlefield in their war maybe? I am positive the protagonist is not an alien, he was just compatible with the alien tech that the humanoids were using.

Always love when you have achievement guides for gamepass. I admit i dont play every single one of those games but when the game looks interesting i do like to use the guide. I think its im semi greedy for gamerscore but do like having regular games. (For me gamerscore is cool but what does it for me is taking a big list of achievements and turning it empty)

I appreciate the walkthrough for the endings to get the achievements. By the end of the game, I was basically checked out. I don't understand the story at all and was glad to just end it.

Another game completed. Thank you my Achievement walkthrough mentor. An Xbox tip mentor: if you have games that has a tracker on it turn on the achievement tracker and keep the achievements on the screen so you don't have to worry about going back and forth to check the results. Also the game was fun I had died a couple times trying to figure out where you was going, but it reminds me a lot more of Inside and Black The Fall games. You'll always be my number one mentor when it comes to achievement guides, and I will continue to follow you.

I'm hooked to doing more of these with you for sure. This game took a weird turn but I enjoyed it for what it was. Way more to it than first expected. Even though parts of the game were frustrating I thoroughly enjoyed playing it... especially right along with this walkthrough.

great guide, only thing I would add is when doing all the endings, from what you'd said I thought you just had to press B R P etc until I realised you had to hold it until it made a full circle then do the next one.

Game is OK what I've played so far. Bit glitchy though, I'm on chapter 5 and already had to restart checkpoints because the orbs wouldn't clear the way. Looked around for ages to 'solve' the area, reloaded checkpoint after watching this video and it cleared it straight away 🙄

Your guides are very fun to follow and listen to, once I watched welsh hunter guide, my god he was so annoying, by far the worst time I had unlocking achievements.

I would've never figured out that last part.

On my first playthrough I somehow accidentally sequence broke the game. Before getting the dog bowl I went down in the basement and then was suddenly teleported to 11:25. I kept playing the game not realizing I missed an alien invasion and was getting really confused. Decided to look up someone else’s playthrough and immediately noticed differences xD

Awesome walkthrough, thanks Maka. I was ready to give up, but played the guide side-by-side from halfway. Sometimes listening while I played, sometimes going ahead so I could do the puzzles and see the cutscenes without spoilers, sometimes just following the video when the dodgy controls got in the way. It's a great looking game with big and interesting ideas, such a shame the controls let it down in places

I think in story those memory spheres were him saving each of Red, Blue & Purple and since they passed down all there powers to him his was only one able to save everyone or could even be a time travel aspect to it lol. Kinda wild story.

Thanks for the great guide Maka! I'm not sure about anyone else but after the fireworks section in Chapter 13, my controller just kept vibrating non stop, even after turning it off & back on again. Stayed that way for a while. Rather annoying lol.

@@shanestevens5352 I just found the solution to this bug. Wrap the lights anti clockwise around the second tree and take the light at top of the tree and boom you are good to go.

Just a warning that on the Xbox One and potentially S there is a massive frame rate issue @1:32:28. This caused the game to lock up and nothing seemed to work, I then moved the game from External to Internal and then had to press the Xbox button when the freeze occurred to jump start game.

Just had that happen today. Sometimes it froze for up to a minute. Nothing terrible but annoying since I thought I could change what happened at the top of the tower if I replayed it.

@@BatmanBeyondBelief I think there's just too much going on at that point in the game (more so for xbox one), as more of the aliens started chasing the frame rates progressively went down till it stopped. Might have been better as a cloud game, not sure if it had that option tbh.

As a father, the openning scene scares me....

stuck at the bit with the lights, & palm trees; Hour an a half just trying to get the lights to clear the stuff on top, getting nowhere!

Didn't understand this game at all, and I am usually someone who pays very close attention to all story. It got real artsy fartsy for sure, and not really in a good way. Anyway, thanks for the guide. It made my lizard completionist brain happy
