Hi I found your channel somehow and I'm a new subscriber, I want to start off by saying that my dad is a retired commercial electrician after 30+ years, he had and used all Klein tools during the 70's 80's and 90's and he didn't use any insulated tools back then since all of the electrical jobs he did were new construction installations and some remodeling, so I have learned a lot from him and I got new modern tools similar to yours.

Hi Jason, welcome to the channel you’re now a member of a brotherhood of electricians past and present. Nothing but the best of the best tools for electricians get shown on this channel sir. Stay tuned there’s more great tool videos to come. Also back then when your dad was working in this honorable skilled trade they used to wrap electrical tape around tools and called it insulated. And in some ways it was , it wasn’t safe back then and it isn’t safe now. But the electrical industry have changed since back then we’re seeing higher voltages , larger equipment, not to mention the safety requirements have changed since way back when ( OSHA ) , etc. That’s why electrician tools have to tested in certified labs and rated for safety. See you at my next video sir take care.

Great, their tolerances are good, often when companies start cost-cutting trying to compete with lower cost lower quality tools they forget to differentiate their products (marketing is not good enough). Secondly when great tool companies fail and are tempted to go down the lower quality route they do so having traded in past glories forgetting to invest in new techniques and technologies that further improve their quality. They forget to stay relevant. Let’s hope knipex avoids that problem.

Well sir you’ve found one 💪, but can I ask you why it so important to find a brown electrician ?
@haroldsneed
4 жыл бұрын
@@TheElectriciansToolChannel I've started my apprenticeship in 2016 in Northern California in another trade and the diversity lingers more to the Hispanic ethnicity. I was dramatically given less why and how to operate/construct/etc on the job by other groups, only the brothers and sisters would drop gems during my training, but I also had to learn on my own which lead me more back to class trainings. So, I've gotten alot of the foundation under my belt and where the resources are located. It was obvious to me that groups look out for their group. I'm more self-educated nowadays.
@haroldsneed
4 жыл бұрын
@@TheElectriciansToolChannel In addition, I've found that Brown people take their craft alot seriously than others and doesn't risk breaking OSHA violations just to keep their job or finish the project in a timely manner. I've left projects due to high risk and not following OSHA procedures. These guys out here like to use old methods which could be achieved with ease, but prefer to break their backs. I prefer working safe not working hard.

The receptacle tension tester is designed to work on tamper proof as it would on any NEMA design 120volt receptacle. The only difference between a tamper proof receptacle and an ordinary receptacle is that both inserts on the tamper proof must be pushed in simultaneously for a corded plug to enter.

In other words some companies become too comfortable when they’re at the top of their game and start thinking more about profit than quality. I hear ya, and I agree.

I see you do a lot of reviewing on tools and you need to try CEMBRE hand tools it's an Italian brand you will be overwhelmed by the quality of their tools the pliers to me are the best I have tried to me is the best pliers and screwdrivers on the market better than knipex or wiia or Klein I still have my screwdriver set and the grip and the feel in the hands it's second to none but now a Days i use mostly the wera vde set because it's more practical but the pliers are still my everyday tools. You need to trie them i bet you will fall in love with them

Well sir you’ve found one 💪, but can I ask you why it so important to find a brown electrician ?
@haroldsneed

Thats an awesome idea making your own male to female plugs to use for amp draws on 120 volt receptacles and I need to make myself one. I've been using alligator clips to do amp draws on receptacles and its kinda dangerous so I am stealing your idea.

hey big bro .. sorry to bother you .. I have Question for you ... i recently brought the rolling packout system {Milwaukee } .. i wanted to add an electric outlet to it similar to how ToolManJoe did in his video ... i like the mounting points and parts he used in his video ... only thing i would like to do differently is for the outlet to face the right inside wall off the and not into the box .. this way all wires im going to plug in will align neatly along the back wall and not taking up space towards the middle and center of the box ... how would i go about building this .. im also from NYC .. Joe is from Canada ... any help would appreciated .. thanks in advance

I think you’re telling me that you want the outlet plugs to face outside the box on the right side wall...correct? If so do what he did make a square hole wherever you want to mount the outlet and install it as you’re installing a receptacle in a Sheetrock wall. By the way that’s a great idea 👍🏿💪👏🤔👌

@@TheElectriciansToolChannel yea .. in his setup all plugs going to the outlet would be taking up space towards the front of the box. i would like the cords to be aligned along the back wall out of the way .. was wondering two main things is there a box with a thin enough profile to mount it and how to wire it to the plug hes using

Ask for a metal electrical box for new work , it my be called another term where you live. Or get the plastic box with side clamps and cover the back after you installed it.
It’s a fluke good luck it breaking. Like your made stuff i have some stuff made up too.. that ideal sure test is awesome.

Research your video , how do use the receptacle tension tester receptacles are tamper proof
@TheElectriciansToolChannel
2 жыл бұрын
The receptacle tension tester is designed to work on tamper proof as it would on any NEMA design 120volt receptacle. The only difference between a tamper proof receptacle and an ordinary receptacle is that both inserts on the tamper proof must be pushed in simultaneously for a corded plug to enter. Thanks for watching 👍🏽
