It’s great to see someone who is serious enough about their job to own all the tools needed. I’ve been at electrical contractor for almost 20 years now, and I see so many guys that are afraid to spend any money on tools. You are obviously not one of them guys. Great video. I enjoyed watching it.

Watching this in awe at the level of organization and efficiency. I can't believe you wrecked your bags for us! It's pretty close to my dream setup, and gave me a lot of good ideas. The T+Pro is one of the most useful tools I've ever owned. I carry a T5 now, but it's not nearly as fast and handy as the Tpro. It's everything good about a solenoid tester and more, plus a volt meter. The only reason I carry the T5 now is for the amp clamp, but I REALLY wish I'd have got another Tpro, and bought a separate clamp meter - maybe a true RMS with capacitance ... kinda kicking myself for that one a little even though I do like the T5 just fine. The wiggy like features - are 100x better than a real solenoid tester. Lowish impedance too so you're not chasing ghost voltage. The light bar, sound and vibration - so fast. So easy to use in dark loud places. I also have the Ideal 7 in 1 - I hate the way Klein screwdrivers feel in the hand. They're great for putting a lot of torque down, but they're top heavy in a bag, don't fit in pockets as well, don't feel near as good in the hand. I don't use the wire nut installer or wire looper on it much, but they take up no space, and sometimes they're handy. I used to have those data crimpers, but I got a relatively cheap and surprisingly well made one of the lever type pass through cat 6 crimpers, and I'll never go back to the ratcheting ones. They're smaller, and it's super easy to verify you have them all in the right place. They take a bit of pushing, but you can strip off and untwist like 2" of wire, push it through enough to grab with the kleins, and pull it so the jacket is way up in there and not trying to pull back. Then the tool crimps and trims in one shot. It fits that pocket a lot better too. I didn't see a punchdown ... I don't have one either though :D I didn't get the Klein one, because it has an RJ-11, and I haven't had any need to crimp those in the last 15 years - extra bulk and weight for nothing. In Klein pliers I think maybe all the J handled cutters are 2000 series, but I've got some D handle ones that are too - the 2000's have better steel, induction hardened blades, they're worth the extra 10 bucks for the lineman, the dykes I got d handle 2000's for about 30 bucks. They didn't even have the regular ones in the store, so it was an easy (and excellent) choice. Somewhere, you mentioned some people say your tools don't get dirty - like you're not working with them or something? My tools are clean too. I like clean tools. Tools that are abused (holes burned in blades, raggly handles, etc) drive me NUTS! I think it shows that you're methodical, organized, efficient, and neat. And that's before you clean them? Outstanding!

​@@TheElectriciansToolChannel I really appreciate that! I'd love to get to work with you on a job. If you have an apprentice, that is one lucky dude - or lady. You're kind of wrong though in a way - I WAS a real deal electrician. I loved it, but I love my family more. I moved to a state where I can't get a license without basically being set back several years, and put my other skills to work. I'm an engineer, but everything I deal with is electrical, and I do put hands on as much as I can, I'm still a tech. I just can't pull permits. Racks and racks full of computer gear, some CNC machines, radio gear - mostly what I deal with on a daily basis these days. I can get a license back home, and I have a plan to move back there - just to a different part, and with enough resources to make it work. Pay off house, buy farm in the mountains, get license and go back to doing work I love. In theory I could have got a license there before but I didn't have the resources to make it work. To me, it's a little like military guys, they say ... once a marine, always a marine. So I guess I kind of still am, it's not like I forgot it all or anything - I just don't get to do it as much as I'd like.

Good to see somone take care of your tools, can't understand some people who spend a fortune on tools, then just throw em in the van. That screwdriver head is for breakers, called modulo in the uk. I've just ordered this tote, they are giving away the MB3 meter bag with it, so quite a good deal.

Some really high quality tools. One observation if I'm allowed, you appear to have so many of the same screwdrivers. For example, my torque screwdriver bits can also fit into a non-torque handle. That would do away with most of your other drivers with their bulky handles. Enjoyed the vid and especially liked the OTC crimping tool. Perhaps next on my shopping list?

Becoming an electrician is great it’s an honorable skill and with the right skill knowledge you’ll afford a lifestyle you never dreamed of. Purchasing the correct tools is a must, but gaining ALL the knowledge of a TRUE PROFESSIONAL ELECTRICIAN is also a must. I recommend that you allow your brain to become like a sponge 🧽 and learn all you can about becoming an electrician. And just when you think 🤔 you learn enough force yourself to continue learn more. Don’t take advice from just anybody you’ll recognize a true professional electrician when you meet one. Good luck 🍀 KCA Ranch 👍🏿

Nice Veto , I have it’s Brother , I Lovee it dearly . Only snag in Canada is Freezing Rain , Snow , and Frozen Slush , the afore mentioned things make open topped totes a problem . I also prefer to keep my tools out of sight , sadly thieves are forever with us ! I demoted mine to being my wet plumbing bag . I totally agree about having several meters !

The CLC 1539 looks okay, I have a CLC open top electricians tool pouch. I had it for about 15 years and it’s still in good condition. CLC was a well known brand and used by a lot of electricians and other tradesman before VETO PRO PAC. I’ll give it a try, and good luck with your electrical career.👍🏿

Inspector: Sir may I see your cal certificates for your torque drives. I don’t know how inspectors are there but some want to see cal certificate for all ratchets and screwdrivers. I have to have wiha 28724 for 5 to 18 in.lbs and 28726 for 10 to 50 in.lbs in tool bag all the time with cal certificates. Im the same when it comes to buying tools in place of labor when feasible. Id recommend adding several more lockout tag out locks and definitely add a few Master 493B breaker lockouts. Nice video.

You’re absolutely right JT inspectors want to see you cal certificate now all time. But they ask if your connections were torqued then they’ll ask how many torque pounds as a trick question. And if you don’t answer correctly then they’ll ask for proof of calibration certificate...etc. I also have all the lockout accessories I keep in another pouch. By the way I have a certificate of calibration for the DRAPER INSULATED SET take a closer look it’s folded small between the screwdrivers shaft. Now the non insulated I have to have it calibrated.

They’re not, at least not that I know of ? I purchased my DRAPER INSULATED TORQUE SCREWDRIVER SET directly from the DRAPER TOOL Company. I went online found what I needed and placed my order.. It took about 6 weeks to be delivered.

Both tool bags are holding up well ESPECIALLY the VETO PRO PAC OT that bag is as solid as they come. The other bag is holding up also it hardly ever leaves the truck. I just take what I need and return it when I’m done with the tools.

I’m carrying the Knipex not because I think overall they’re better than all other linesman I have. I use linesman pliers a lot and I like to change up every now and then it hard to say which one is my number one. But I can tell you which one I NEVER carry in my tool pouch SOUTHWIRE at least the model I have in my video. I don’t like how they feel or perform, that’s just my opinion.

No, that’s an big issue for me. I’ve been working as an electrician for so long with uncomfortable tools 🧰 that now that cushion grips are very important to me. And for the price of the KNIPEX you’ll think the grip handles would be much softer and more comfortable. The most comfortable linesman pliers to me are: IDEAL INDUSTRIES, CHANNELLOCK CODE BLUE, KLEIN JOURNEYMAN SERIES, WIHA INDUSTRIAL LINESMAN PLIERS. That’s just my opinion.

Bruh i went from milwaukee and klein to damn near all german (wiha wera knipex stabila...) never looked back. i do keep my yellow handle klein linemans because i like that there heavier then my knipex and i like to use the kleins as a hammer like all electricians...

Been there done ✅ that Isaactre , I also have used my linesman pliers as a hammer. Some 25 plus years ago when I was being taught to be an electrician by a master electrician he trained me to ALWAYS used the correct tool(s) for the job at hand. And after all these years to this very present day I practice that. Now don’t get me wrong linesman pliers are tough enough for that purpose and more. So I purchased a small hammer, I try to take care of my tools because my tools take care of me 💰. And just because I make great money 💴 as an electrician I don’t want to damage my tools so I take very good care of my tools. Take care brother and be safe out there, and make that 💴💴 👍🏿🤙.

Awesome tools! I noticed you don’t carry the heavy duty blue handle klein wire strippers anymore. How come? I just started carrying it in my bag recently. Tomorrow I’m going to put it to the test and see how they do! Take care and be safe! ✌️

I don’t have much room in that tool tote so I had to choose between the heavy duty Klein wire strippers and the heavy duty Klein hybrid pliers. So for the moment I chose the hybrid pliers because they’ll more than one purpose 1) linesman 2) wire strippers 3) crimpers 4) bolt cutter and threader.

I had a pair of those commercial electric cable shears that were complete shit! I naught them to cut MC cable and the knives folded over on the first cut. I already had the Klein’s and they worked well enough but I thought the commercial electric shears looked interesting but they were a complete bust.

It’s not a backpack 🎒 it’s a tool tote with a shoulder strap if you choose to carry it that way, or you can carry it by the handle strap. The weight isn’t as heavy as it looks, I would say it weighs about 7 - 8 pounds.

I have so many tools John some get used more than others, but I clean and take great care of ALL my tools. Because of my tools I make a great living being an electrician.

Yeah Edgar I use all of my tools some more than others and some are newer than others. But yes they are clean, because I clean all my tools and take good care of them to extend the life of the tool plus they’ll work properly. Thanks for watching, and thanks for complementing my tools.

All very nice tools, especially liked your rigged up amp draw tool and the ability to get a clamp through each of the conductors. Better than even a splitter. I rigged up something similar more to test the earth leakage for each branch circuit with a load - added a light bulb to a cable and a plug fitting with aims sheathing taken off half-way down to test a load on a circuit and earth leakage by being able to put the earth leakage clamp around the ground conductor and check imbalance across live and neutral phase. However take care to examine the cables before you use them to make sure there is no nicks in the insulation of the exposed conductors.

You should also get a magnifying tool with a light as we get older they can be useful to check threads on electrical screws or checks insulation on conductors and anything you want to get up close to something. I want to get the wiha electricians hammer. I also have several types of knipex crimping tools and a small gas powered solder gun to help heat shrink over soldered splices and exposed conductors again I only use listed and tested products which end up being more expensive but they are quality. We always need several type of splicing and wire connector products especially going from smaller fine stranded to larger gauge solid conductors as you do when you end up installing lights, low voltage drivers and fans to 120v power again I moved to using various type of listed wago connectors than the usual twist on connectors.

Greetings from the United 🇺🇸 States Maybe the amount of tools I have is to much for the type of work you do in your country. But here in the United States we install electrical different from you guys. And just because you don’t see a saw or a certain other tool(s) doesn’t mean I don’t have it or them. I’m a LICENSED MASTER ELECTRICIAN with 25 plus years of experience under my belt sir. I’m not a beginner or new to anything that has to do with electricity. And one more thing sir , please understand that I don’t have to rush to work in the morning because my boss said so, I am the boss. And I’ve been my own boss for over 12 years. No Joe you have to take care of your tools man, because your tools takes care of you. I was trained that way some 25 plus years ago by a master electrician I worked for. And his teachings stuck with me, and you’re seeing the results. I have tools that 25 years old and they look like I purchased them about 3 years ago and I still use them to this day. I was taught to use th3 correct tool for the job at hand . Experience matters 👍🏿🤙💪
