Recently completed, it's nice to share some of the many intricate details to go into creating a completely new instrument. The following shows some of the work that goes into fitting some reinforcing cleats. Made from the leftover timber used for the ribs, each piece is chalk fitted and glued into place in consecutive selected pieces. They are then shaped down to a smooth profile. All helping to guarantee this instrument should last centuries. This Bass was inspired by Edgar Meyers instrument.
