Solving The Most Mysterious Children in History
Ғылым және технология
THREE STORIES: The Most Mysterious Children in History
In 12th century England, two children were found lost in a forest. They spoke only gibberish, wore strange clothing and had bright green skin. When the children finally learned to speak English, they described where they were from. And that's why, after almost 1,000 years, people still talk about The Green Children of Woolpit.
In 1828, a teenage boy was shuffling through a public square in Nuremburg. He seemed confused and disoriented. He had trouble walking and speaking. When police finally approached him, he was holding an envelope containing two letters. And those letters sparked the mystery of Kaspar Hauser.
In April 1922, in Brittany, France, 2-year-old Pauline Picard went missing. A massive search turned up nothing. The family was losing hope.
A month later, Pauline was found wandering around a village over 200 miles away. Though her parents were overjoyed to have her back, they soon realized something wasn't quite right with their daughter.
These are three unsolved cases of the most mysterious children in history.

I can’t thank you enough for this channel. My dad had a heart attack last week and was in congestive heart failure and all the time I was with him at the hospital or back at home, I was binge watching your videos to keep my mind from going certain places. When he was feeling much better the other day, Dad and I were watching together and he was thoroughly impressed with every video he watched and he’s become a fan himself. And he loves Hecklefish who I swear is my dad’s spirit animal. Dad went home today, on his birthday, and he said he was looking forward to getting in his comfy chair and watching the rest of your videos. So thank you for keeping me from losing it the last week. Thank you for giving my dad something new and totally awesome to watch. And most definitely, thank you for Hecklefish!!!

In 2002 attempt was made at the Department of Forensic Medicine at the University of Münster. Kaspar Hauser's hat, trousers and a number of curls were tested. The material came partly from Anselm von Feuerbach's private collection. The genetic code was the same in all items tested. They compared the genetic material to Astrid von Medinger, who was a descendant of Charles of Baden and Stephanie de Beauharnais, and it turned out that the DNA matched 95%.

One of the things you do so well with the channel is pacing. Maybe it's your background in production but the brilliance of using title cards and cut screens every time the audience has a question and then coming back in with the answer is just brilliant. It's like a mature version of the call and response that you often see in children's television. "Who? How? What? Why?" "Let me tell you." It's such a smooth way to engage with your audience beyond the comment section.

As for the green children I once knew a girl who was orange ( the truth). Her mother said she would only eat orange foods, so her skin was orange. As she started eating other colored foods the orange color went away. Like flamingoes who are mostly pink from eating mostly shrimp. It makes sense.

"the 19th-century King Umberto I of Italy was eating in a restaurant when he noticed the owner was a near-exact physical double. It emerged that both were born on the same day, in the same town, and had married women with the same name. The restaurateur had opened his establishment on the day of Umberto's coronation. Umberto was shot dead on the day he learned the restaurateur had died in a shooting."

Suffolk also has its share of UFO hotspots and really, really, really old haunted buildings. You guys should come and visit! It’s certainly not all crumpets and cricket!
As far as the green tint to their skin, I can say that that happened to me when I was a child too. I would only eat yellow vegetables that's it, my mom said that I wouldn't eat anything that wasn't corn or squash ECT. My skin turned yellow because of the pigmentation. They figured this out when they took me to the hospital and thought I was jaundice but I wasn't, it was from the pigmentation of the only foods that I would eat.

The green children fascinated me when I first read about them as a child (obsessed with the paranormal since 1984 thanks Ghostbusters) and I always fancied the fairyland idea. But after listening to your episode about how we've evolved to see colour, I wonder if they really were green, perhaps just very yellow from jaundice? I'm also leaning toward being from another country, in the 12th century most people only knew their own region and had no experience of the languages, culture and costume of far away places. The deeper mystery is how they got so far away from their homeland...maybe *that part* is a time slip. 😉

Exactly the story didn’t begin in England because England had only three languages I think they were brought far away from their homes and left in a field near a town or village and maybe they were sick and were off color. The first people to tell this story were Germans so it had to be children from some place in Europe or euro Asia.

I always look forward to Thursday. Thank you for putting so much effort into each episode and not just phoning it in or taking your subscribers for granted.
These anthology style episodes are great! Equal parts weird and educational as always! Hecklefish is the perfect sidekick. You guys ever do a talk show, I'll totally watch it.

i would to, just found this channel 3 days ago but i sure like it , dude is funny
Ive watched and enjoyed so many of the stories you have shown, some of which have shocked, surprised and enlightened my own knowledge. I live in Cornwall, England, and I was wondering if there were any stories from this area that you would be able to investigate. Keep up the great work. Hecklefish makes me laugh so much.
I LOVE your channel. I'm glad I stumbled across it.
I remember discovering the green children of wool pit back in high-school in 2012. I was obsessed with it for months. I even remember this song that reminded of being lonely living in a different time. Song's called " the past recedes" by John Frusciante and I always pictured being one of the green children in my head everytime I listen to it. What a different time indeed. Love your videos.

Wahoo. I’ve been waiting intently for the next video. Never before have I been so captivated by a channel and its presenters. I can’t believe I’ve watched just about all the videos over the past 3 days, while off work recuperating. Keep up the fantastic research and wonderful delivery and production. This is a proper channel, and how others should model themselves.
BTW I am Flemish, and digging into archives I have encountered local stories about green-skinned wild people living in the forests back in the middle ages. (back then we still had old forests you could get lost in, unlike today, save maybe for the Sonian Forest)
Binging the videos of the channel even if I've already seen them all and I never miss a new release! Rewatching makes me rediscover stuff I forgot and get a few things I missed. it helps the channel with the algorithm.
I see so many people saying the same thing. Totally addicted to your channel. You are doing an amazing job. Only wish there was a never ending supply of videos. Even the stories I know so well you just do it better. I have to watch. I rolled my eyes when I first saw the fish but you really gave him a great personality.

Amazing comment, David. Thanks so much. I'm glad you gave HF a chance. As you probably already know by now: he's not a gimmick. He has a purpose.

Wish I could give more 😕 as this is the best channel on KZread! Tip for a topic - Stories of people with actual evidence of living past lives 🤗

Dude I love your channel. You have a very pleasant voice. It's very easy to listen to you talk about stuff. I love the content. Keep it coming!
The moving portraits in the second story gave me the chills.
The last story sounds like the Missing 411 phenomenon. You should do a video on that. It’s very intriguing and mysterious. David Paulides is great and all, but sometimes his storytelling gets a bit depressing because he talks about suicide constantly. This is because his son committed suicide a couple years ago, which seemed to me like not much of a coincidence since his father was in the middle of uncovering one of the biggest mysteries in recent history. That is a story within itself if you ask me.
I feel like I could sit and talk with him for hours and never be bored . He is so intelligent and his personality is so warm and welcoming. If you see this AJ you should consider reading childrens’ stories , your voice Is calming and soothing . You are amazing…and yeah I guess hecklefish is too ;)
I have recently discovered this channel thanks to Mr. Ballen. I love them both. Thank you for creating all this comtent and for your hours of hard work.
I've watched every episode and replay them over my Bluetooth speaker full volume while at work and I'm so very damned proud to say that a great majority of my coworkers are now subscribed to this truly GREAT channel I promote this channel happily and I even approach strangers and do my best to get them subscribed as well because this channel truly deserves the subscribers beyond all doubt
Kaspar Hauser's story is so interesting. We studied this case in my sociology class in high school. Do you think it could it be possible that Kaspar suffered from a level of dissociation from himself due to his trauma and the alternate identity became a version of his captor to understand the why of his situation? the other alter just went to far and actually won out despite his physical freedom? Just wondering/ not an expert. Great video! Sassy fish! 😂

Thank you for telling me this story, I love the style. ❤
Currently working my way through every episode.. not sure why this channel is just now making its way in my life
I’m really sad that KZread has not shown me one of your videos prior to today as a recommendation since you’re topics of real life unsolved mysteries kind of goes along with all the things that I watch about archaeology, history, true crime with some medical and crafts DIY sprinkled in there. Love the topic of your video today and subscribed to the channel. I look forward to watching past videos and from here forward all of your new content . Thank you for creating this channel and all the research you do.
Can’t get enough of this channel! Quickly has become my favorite. Keep up the great work!👍🏽
Im consuming your content at record speeds! Have you considered doing Skinwalker ranch or the Missing 411? Both are incredibly captivating stories. Thank you for the Content!
Oh Hecklefish is so delightful!! Another terrific episode and on a subject I was not even aware of. Thank you!
I'm so glad I found your channel! I watched nearly 15 of your videos in two days, very great content and excellent way of telling the stories. You'll be famous!! Thanks for this.

Great Great show. I thoroughly enjoyed your program. Thank you
Yet another great episode! Three legends retold and analyzed. Entertaining, intriguing and thought-provoking. Kudos!
I am thrilled that I now have a reasonable answer to the famous "green children" mystery. Most everyone else just goes with the supernatural options (sorry Heckle Fish) and ends with, "No one knows." Thank you, AJ!
