The best Utuber in Cali. Keep it up!!!
Darn.... The photo gave me the impression you purchased a Longhorn Steer.

I thought the same 😂 I was worried about such long horns been sooo long! 😅
To treat that cattle rub, I use an empty lick tub and mix your mineral oil and insecticide. Then coil the rub down into the tub and let it soak up the solution. Works really good for me. And yes, you will need a more substantial hanging system than baling twine.
It's funny how different cattle can be. Years ago my folks had some steers that absolutely loved being sprayed. They would turn around and around so every side could be sprayed.

My dad always said the same thing:)
I think that is now Rivets toy only, I love the way he rests his head on it. He is a beautiful boy. The black ones are beautiful too, in fact all the cows, bull, and dogs are beautiful. Thank Tyler for yet another interesting video.
Thanks Tyler. It was funny watching the bulls not liking that fly rub. In their dislike of it they were actually getting the product on their faces. Goal accomplished. Don’t we always do jobs backwards. Do the cool things in the cool and hard ones in the hot. You got it done and that is what counts. See you next video when we get your hay in without leaving our couches and you out in the hot.
Rivet is one fine looking bull.
2nd Tyler keep doing what ur doin your videos make my day when I see em you got some pretty bulls
Tyler we love you so much brother why don't you have any sheep on your ranch mate i just wondered that was all mate we love you forever so much brother
I’m 66 years old and if I could go back in time I would sell something or do whatever I could to have bought a front end loader with forks sooner in life to save my back. You only have one back to ruin lifting and carrying those heavy loads. I admire your “can do” attitude but at my age, you will wish you had taken my advice. Great videos 👍🏻

A few videos back, you mentioned you'd like a few cats to live around your hay bales in the lean to where you store the hay. A couple of my viewing days ago I saw a pretty calico cat hiding in the grass. Today I watched the video of your haul home gravel & set up a couple of water tanks or the cows. At the end of the video was a twin to my Handsome, drinking water out of the round watering tank. If the beautiful gray cat is a male, & most everyone knows calicos are females, you have 1 set of possible kitten makes. Then I see the video of you saying you will be hauling hay bales. Appears you just may have gotten your wish come true for cats & kittens to control your rodent problem. Will be wishing for kittens for you& your hay crop.
Heavens to Betsy. I love your videos. Thanks.
Little two years in a row , the first in the call of duty, well done little guy!
We use them in Alabama for yeàrs and they work great. U have to put something stronger
middle pasture, front field, backfield, little field, winter pasture, home ranch... would be nice if you could draw a diagram and show us on a future video

He did a video not that long ago, you can go look through and find it.
Use a medium logging chain wrapped in burlap sacks covered in fly spray. U need something with weight to it.
Now where have I seen those pipes before. Might be good for making a fence.
Excellent video FTR. I too that maybe you acquired a longhorn steer. I’ve concluded you are the premier Ranching channel.
Man that pipe u unloaded make my back hurt lol that’s a lot of hard work have a good weekend.
See the boys did figured it out! You just have to give them a chance to explore what this was, they will get the hang of it soon enough. They are gorgeous animals.
You have a truly blessed life! Everyday is all forms of your hearts desire!
Pete from Just A Few Acres has a back rub, but he hangs some cloth type material in strips, so it's like a curtain, they have to walk thru, you could then hang it above head height, which hopefully would stop them pulling it down.
The bulls thought you brought them a toy! LOL
Starting is a mighty fine goal !!!! Love the bulls, so entertaining. Stay hydrated in this heat.
You really have some good Bulls. Well behaved because they're well raised. They're getting it, but I think you're right that hay twine isn't going to cut it.

As the old timers say “ Never trust a bull, even if they appear to be good spirited, they can turn on you in a flash” ‼️ Just sayin’
Just a few acres uses that sock works for him
Good update, now to move all the hay!! Get some sleep tonight!! LOL
I appreciate how you care for your animals and how hard you work. Does apple cider vinegar in their water help with flies? I think I saw that somewhere. ❤
Sun only lasts so long, you always have much to do. You’re doing just great. Love your vids no matter what needs to be done. God’s blessings FT!❤❤❤
a comedian and a genius u r
GOOD MORNING TYLER
Glad you finally got the rub. That will make quite a difference in just a few days as they go through it!
It is hard to get them sprayed in a field. I have three heifers in a field by themselves and I used garlic powder in the feed trough with their trace mineral block and a little bit of feed for a week . I can count the flies on the three on my fingers. I used it some in another field with 13 cattle and some of them have almost no flies. I am going to try again next year to get Redmond garlic blocks, but it isn't easy to do here in Virginia.
Hey Tyler! Do you folks have Bald Faced Hornets where you live? If so, they absolutely love flies! We don't bother their nests and we have very little fly pressure on the livestock. Also, we hung a fly rub in a run in like you did. One day they stetched it down low and one of our yearling bulls got wrapped up in it with his legs. Long story short, it comprised both one front and one rear leg. No covering cows for him unfortunately. Who would have thought. Enjoy all your videos ❤
A few acres farm has the back rub stretched over a gateway. No doubt you have seen it.
When the girls are in heat, a barbed wire fence is just a suggestion. 🙂
For a strong divider fence we use 9 foot posts with 3 feet in the ground with a peice of woven wire and 2 or 3 strands of barbed wire on top
Farmer Tyler the cow whisperer
Always something to do. Good thing you are young!
Temperamental cows there😢😮😊
Congrats on getting them sprayed !!😂❤
Great video 😂
My friend I know you watch just a few acres with peat look at his video regarding the flies and that back rub unit and it works wonders for him also with the tails that hang down
My Dad always kept a neat barn yard, so much so that people would comment on it and all he ever would say it that if he saw a piece of bailing string , he would pick it up and put it in the burn barrel.
Well it seemed like Rivet knew what to do with the cow rub after you reattached it! Hopefully it'll last until you get the big boys moved in with their girlfriends!😘
Love your videos. ❤ Have you ever tried antifly-eartags? Keep up the great work. Greetings from Berlin, Germany 🇩🇪
Tyler. You need to bite the bullet and trade your open cab tractor on a tractor with a cab with air conditioning. I traded mine in several years ago, and now I wish that I had made that move sooner. Those 100 degree days wear you out faster than anything. Now I enjoy driving around no matter what the weather is.
FTR Mike with our Wyoming Life used to put fly spray on the cows when he ran them thru the arrowquip. They won't be able to run away. Just an idea. Of coarse it was only done once in a while verses daily.
@JefferyFlynn

He used to do that but couldn't get ahead of the flies
I use diesel and fly spray together and pour it on the rub. It works really well
Hi I’m new here loving the video especially of the two cars that you bottle-fed smoky and littler I’m from the uk 🇬🇧
Put a hood spring on both ends let it move
I ENJOYED WATCHING THE VIDEO Tyler😊❤
Thanks
I'm always intrigued by how many jobs on a ranch/farm will lead to other jobs. "Before i switch to the hay spear i need to move this concrete". My experience it's a vicious circle to get to the actual job intended. Maybe a result of a case of ADD.
❤ Great Fun video. Your such a hard working man, but one thing, your a young man, Tyler dont forget to keep sunscreen on that cute little nose of yours, thats a caring suggestion. I know its easy to forget, but try to remember. You can keep a roll on sunscreen right in your truck. It's such a pleasure to watch you on your farm / ranch.
THANK YOU FOR THE VIDEO
Great job Tyler. U Live seeing Rivet use his I Do Not Care Attitude when U introduce something new to the Farm. He is such a Beautiful Bull, and his Rival is like, It Is ok, I will wait to U finish. Thank U for sharing, until next time, Rock On!
Use chain and clips on the back rubber.
Love the 8n.
I figured you’ve been watching Pete at Just A Few Acres. That approach seems to work for his cattle, but every farm is different. I hope it works out for you when you string it across the gate!! looking forward to seeing how it plays out.
I wonder if you could make a scratching post that was covered in fly spray?
Thank you😊
Peter on Just a Few Acres Farm uses the long sock for his heard and it works very well for him. Just saying.
FTR putting us to shame once again😅
I have tried them fly rubs and they work if the cows don't destroy them. They are not strong enough for cows
Love your channel! Anyone ever say you remind them of Dennis Quade?
Rivet says: Thanks for the built in headrest. Now I can get my beauty sleep standing up!
A playtoy for us, how thoughtful😂😂😂😂😂😂
Always fun to watch, I love cows.
💖💖💖💖💖
I think more medicine in the mineral oil 😮
We wrap it around a post, works good.
13:30 why didn’t u use these gloves to take off the pipes😂🤪 rather than burning yourself 15:24😂❤I do not like getting burned Tyler, you’re is my favorite channel by far. Take care of yourself and I’ll see you in the next one🎉💕🙌🏻
When the cows are in heat, my bull turns in a steeple chaser. He is 1700 pounds, part Jersey part Panda, and clears a 6 foot fence with 6 inches to spare. That's without a running start.
Quite Impressive
I have seen that stretched on pipe in a triangle.
2 funny cows are just big puppy dogs
I would suggest you hang the fly rub diagonally rather than horizontally. I believe that would make the fly rub more resistant to the bulls pulling it down plus diagnonally would allow the fly rub to cover more areas of the body.
It don't have to be in gateway. They will use it right where it is. Lower it a good foot in elevation tho
Where are the kitties?
👍🏻💖
Thx
Can I ask why you aren't using a couple of Borders to help with the cattle? I mean, I guess Kelpies or Heelers would work just as well, I just happen to use Borders. It would cut your time almost in half when you are dealing with moving cattle around, and well worth the money. If you don't know how to train herding dogs, there are some started dogs for sale just about everywhere- well worth the money, until you learn how to do it. I adore the bulls- especially the tiny one....
The Bismarck bull calf seems small. How old is he now?
Dont yall think cows a beautiful? Where my little farm is its surrounded in pasture land and i so enjoy them and there calfs .
Pete from Just a few Acres farm uses desil fuel on his cow backrub fly killer thing, I think… I know you watch his channel so I just wanted to give you the idea to find his video
What is the role of a herd steer? What do they provide their herdmates?
❤❤VIDEO ❤❤what they say about cows in general… they Wii find a way at destroying stuff ❤❤ no matter you put a chain and use a spring loaded device they will find a way❤❤
Md dad used to put one of those up for our cattle and used chains, but he soaked in used motor oil. He made it lower on one end so they could go under it and rub most of there body on it. This is too high for the little man.
No truck today, using the Toyota instead? I'm sure the "boys" are looking forward to the breeding season.
A farmer does things when you have to or when it comes to you.
Tyler, why don't you wrap the white tube around the post, that way the bulls can rub against it. Just a thought.
😍
Looks like the bulls are bored. The back rubber is just a toy for them. Maybe paracord.
They have those strips that hang from the back sprayer that hits their faces . How much $ did all that pipe cost , just wondering , I want to do pipe sometime and I just want to know if u don't mind . Great job
Hey Tyler, would it be possible to put the insecticide on the large brushes you had in the yard?
Seeing you on the 8N reminded me of your Jubile rebuild...have you done any more work on it yer and if not whats holding you back from continuing on it?
👍
❤
