Welcome to the channel! I operate a small beef cow herd and hay operation here in Northern California. On this channel I’ll show you the day to day as well as some big projects on the ranch.
Unfortunately, the calf was not a willing partner. It's never easy, but nature can be cruel. You did good in my book, no reason to hang your head.

Plenty of people will tel you what you should have done. The truth is, you were right you got there a little too late, because you didn't know, and the fact you got him going against all odds was a miracle in itself. You care, and that is all that is needed.

I know what that feels like. The world keeps going and people keep living their lives and you feel like they should stop and grieve as well. I had an old coworker who I would talk to sometimes online, and one day a few weeks ago I saw a post she was tagged in that said she passed away! I could not believe it! I didn’t know she was even sick! Turns out she had cancer for the last five years. I still am coming to terms with it all. One day she was posting about a car show, the next she was gone. Rest easy, Max.

Y'know, there are so many people who like to complain, judge and send negativities, but if they don't like watching or can't watch and learn without poking your oar in, then quit watching and go watch something else to complain about. Black widows are killers, mice carry germs which can upset the cattle, the live stock that makes a farm its money. So give it a rest and let Tyler run his farm how he wants to run it, do things the way he does them etc etc. His herd is healthy and he updates the farm. So quit with the put downs by the know-it-alls. Tyler, you are doing a fantastic job all on your own, just be yourself and ignore those who gripe.

Callie is in really great condition! And Bellee is really growing up fast keeping up with her sister. . . You accomplished so much in this session. Wow, Tyler! I love how you think things through, knowing that you could hit obstacles in the process. With your flexibility, you roll with it, whatever comes up, like the end braces deep in concrete . . . You have all the tools and all the brains to work it out every time. Plus, you think ahead to when you would incorporate the leftover pieces of square metal tubing Genius! Pure genius!! Keep up the good work. I’m in awe ✨💫⭐️💫✨ Sorry about the Honda. I don’t know where you are with that. I know you’ll be able to get it running cuz you’re talented.

Have you ever thought of modifying the gate into your tub area with an opening for calves only? I call it a calf creep type gate. I think you'd find most of your calves would sort themselves off. You're so handy with a welder, you could easily do that. Also, the tub jumper - better put a note in her "permanent file." LOL

All the work you had to do to install the new Arrowquip chute was totally worth it! I felt bad when you had to spend so much time breaking up the original concrete pad just to pour a new one. I was wondering if I'd made a mistake emailing Arrowquip at that time. But, I'm so glad that you were using it with such ease in today's video. Congratulations on the change over!
