Solving EVERY Music Producer's Nightmare (IT'S EASY)

Музыка

Listening to your 8 bar loops over and over again won't get you nowhere, no matter how cool they are... 🤷‍♂️
Those are 3 common mistakes I've made. Getting rid of them helps a lot to expand your loop into a full beat or track.

    Hi, I think that problem with unfinished tracks is really huge, can you maybe do video with techniques like: work faster when you are writing songs. don't listen your track a lot when you are make starting demo to don't get bored of it.. that's all what I know. Maybe you can give some mixing techniques and arrangement tips that will improve our work)

    I get you! I promise to make a video about some mixing techniques! Speaking of not getting bored of the demo track, in general the tips from this video should help. Maybe just try to go as fast with spreading out the arrangement by copying, using alternative instruments or making variations. Then, just leave it as it is, take a break and get back to the project. Many times I got more ideas to finish a song like that instead of sticking to 8 bar loop and adding more and more to it

    @@Zdrewe yeah, thanks for this advice!) I'm usually making 8-16 bars and trying to put the instrument vertically and just sitting and enjoying the nice arpeggio that I made :D

    That's actually seems like a efficient way to make a full track. I'll try it. I like the editing, it's like on IG, it has the same vibe i feel, but you actually have a little more time to show more. It's for the better I think. And I like this humor. 👍

    Glad to see you here as well and that’s for the feedback 🙏 for the editing part - call me lazy but I just remade a whole template to 16:9 and for the humor, well I feel more comfortable here with video lengths as well as showing more personality 😂

    what are your thoughts about recreating other people song in order to improve your skills? is it good way?

  • @Zdrewe

    @Zdrewe

    5 ай бұрын

    Definitely! I actually mentioned it in one of my previous videos. If we speak about recreating arrangements it’s totally ok to use them in your own songs. Speaking of recreating sounds or melodies - that’s a great way to improve sound design or writing but I would save tracks like those for myself as an exercise. There’s a great episode with Disclosure on Tape Notes Podcast where they also mention it as a great way to improve. Thanks for a comment btw 🙏

    3:43 what was this command to make them into 1/8 notes (or 1/16ths?) The “magic trick” you used. Is this Ableton 12 possibly?
