Just popping back in to let anyone wondering where they would possibly use this that I'm an Electrical Engineering student and were using inequalities, set builder, and roster notation in my Intro to Communication Principles Class (getting micro-chips to talk to each other) and I remembered using this video back when I had to re-teach myself "basic math" in 2017/18. Thanks Mr. Whitt. I always recommend your videos to other students that are under me or need to review these things. There's more to the math in the class than that, but I just wanted to come back and give people some motivation and encouragement. I struggled with this stuff back in the day.

This is my first year of college after a 16 year "break, I have always hated math, algebra especially. I found your videos and they are the most useful tool that I have. Mr Whitt you are a life saver, I only found ur videos last term while i was crunching for my pre-calc final, they totally helped me pass the class, now that i am in calculus i will again need your help :) I was wondering if you have any videos on "sign analysis" i could sure use one. I wonder if you have more videos on calculus concepts?

Hello Mr. Witt the last problem on the video confused me the number line answer cause I thought that when the sign is less than or equal to you shade to the right.

Numbers that are smaller or less than another value will be to the left, not the right.

some of the answers on my textbooks are not changing the direction of the Inequality sign even though we have to devide it by a negative number. does anyone know why?

This video was really helpful, thank you! I have a question about problem 4. When you graph a fraction like 11/2, what numbers would that point be between on a number line? I don't know if I'm explaining this question correctly. But would that fraction be plotted on 5.5 since 11/2=5.5?

Yes it does.

For number four my answer came out to be right except I got -33/-6 since a negative divided by a negative is a positive my final answer before reducing was 33/6 but I divided - 6 on both sides to get X by itself which caused me to change my symbol. -33=-6x how is that possible?

I added 18 to both sides of the inequality to isolate the term with the variable.
