Both are great. Been using Violin B a lot.

Yeah, they both sound amazing, my 8Dio Deep Solo violin much less expressive...Though if I buy, I would prefer Violin B because it also features a same note re-bowing and costs less than Violin A. Also Jasper still provides a free solo legato violin which is up there with these both, especially it is like Violin A according to the simplicity but it is free instead of incredible $139))) Yesterday I made a comparison and failed to see the reason to pay my several salaries while there is such an outstanding free instrument)))

Great comparison! Like you, I only got Violin B at first, but especially after this video I’m considering getting Violin A as well...

I think Violin A opens more use-case scenarios, when violin B sounds a bit heavy. I'm madly in love with violin B though haha

One is helpless without the other one I would even go a step further and have them on demand like a keyswitch :)

@@dimensionstomorrow I see. It will be tough to get snappy shorts out of both of them, because they are legato/sustain only and there are some shorts in the example you posted. Also, violin A won't do great with runs as it's bowed legato. Violin B will do better there with it's slurred legato. Though the character of both is more lyrical/vibrato heavy than what I hear in your example I'd say.

Why dont they just fuse them into one and have B at low velocity and A on high velocity?

I think it won't work, because they have a different tone.

I think Violin B fits better for slow songs. Violin B connects the song more smoothly. I think Violin A will fit better with fast and light songs.

Violin B is great for that Schindler's List type of heavy, emotional sound :)

Very unrealistic portamenti on violin B.
